    Bloomer medalist at C-D championship

    At the Section II, Class C-D golf sectional, Hoosick Falls' Ryan Bloomer was the medalist after a 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday at McGregor Links Country Club. The Panthers went 1-2 on the afternoon with Matt Smith next on the list with a 76. Greenwich's Jake Owens and Reed Boduch were third and fourth after a 77 and 79, respectively.

    Patriots extend win streak to five

    Mount Anthony's Keana Gauthier and Woodstock's Taylor Blodorn battle to get the ball during Friday's game in Bennington. BENNINGTON - The Mount Anthony girls soccer team extended its win streak to five games with a 5-0 win against Woodstock in its homecoming game at Spinelli Field.

    Freshmen lead MAU past Mill River

    The Mount Anthony boys soccer team got a pair of goals from freshmen Nathan Potter and Charlie Dobson as the Patriots rolled past Mill River, 9-0. MAU scored four goals in the first 15 minutes, courtesy of Brandon Anderson, Dave Peterson, David Chorlton and Dobson.

    Colonels host Hilltoppers, Terriers at Otters

    The schedule of death continues for the Brattleboro Union High School varsity football team, which will host defending state champion Saint Johnsbury on Friday night at 7. The Hilltoppers are coming off of a heartbreaking 30-29 loss to Rice. Quarterback Jake Cady ran for 101 yards and passed for 219 more in that shootout, while Renwick Smith led the team with 104 receiving yards and two scores.

    Panthers blank Corinth, snap losing streak

    The Hoosick Falls boys soccer team snapped a five-game losing streak and topped Corinth 3-0 at home Monday. The Panthers held possession for the majority of the game.

    Terriers host rival, Colonels at SeaWolves

    In Week 4 of the Vermont high school football season, Brattleboro will face a team for the first time ever and Bellows Falls will play against a familiar foe. The 0-3 Colonels will play at the 2-1 SeaWolves on Friday night at 7. The new team is made up of players from Burlington and South Burlington high schools.

    Bulldogs fall to South Burlington

    The brutal early season schedule continued for the Burr and Burton girls soccer team on Saturday as they traveled to South Burlington, coming home on the short end of a 3-1 score. The Wolves scored two goals in the first five minutes.

    Terriers, Colonels lose on the road

    The Bellows Falls varsity football team was held to 182 total yards of offense on Saturday and fell to host Burr and Burton, 48-7. Brady Clark and Jed Lober finished with 61 and 48 yards respectively to lead Bellows Falls on the ground.
