    ROCHESTER, N.Y. >> The Mount Anthony Union High School wrestling team traveled to Rochester, N.Y. over the weekend for the Rugged Penfield Holiday Tournament at Penfield High School, and the Patriots returned to Bennington with a second-place team finish. The Patriots were edged out in a slugfest by Warsaw, N.Y., with Warsaw scoring 262.5 points to MAU's 230.5. MAU placed eight wrestlers in the finals, with three coming away as champions.

    HENNIKER, N.H. >> The Southern Vermont College women's basketball team had a two-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night, falling to New England College, 81-61. New England College scored the first eight points of the game to take the lead and never look back, eventually jumping out to a 18-4 lead before the SVC offense started to get going.

    MAU wrestlers dominate first tournament of year

    ROTTERDAM, N.Y. >> The Mount Anthony Union High School wrestling team started the season with a dominating team victory at Saturday's Mohonasen Invitational. MAU had seven champions, including 106-pounder Ashdin Schaefer, Troy Gassaway , Dylan LaFountain , Jacob Woodside , Tyler Mattison , Jack Luciano and Perle Webb .
