    Lake Zurich's McNair will make a run at Augustana

    Radecki helps extend Lake Zurich's season

    Carolyn Radecki is one of nine Lake Zurich seniors who didn't want to see her girls soccer season come to an end on Tuesday night. So the senior forward made personally made sure that wouldn't happen, scoring the game-winning goal in the second overtime as second-seeded Lake Zurich edged third-seeded Hersey 1-0 in the Class 3A Glenbrook South sectional semifinal in Glenview.

    Lake Zurich's a hit at Stevenson

    Despite the small disappointment of not quite hitting for the cycle, both Lake Zurich shortstop Brittney Pettinger and center fielder Jessica Puccinelli were feeling pretty good after visiting Stevenson High School on Monday afternoon. The two Bears players combined to reach base all eight times in a 13-3, 5-inning softball victory over the Pats.
