    WJBB brings FM access to Barrow sports

    Barrow County's own WJBB 107.1 FM will present the first regular FM broadcast of Barrow County high school sports starting with football in late August. Barrow County has an interrupted history of a radio presence with the old WIMO station having peaks and valleys of popularity, culminating in new ownership and a facelift into WJBB 1300 AM about 16 months ago.

    With an influx of youth this year, the Jackson County softball team's schedule is serving as a good orientation. The Panthers have 11 incoming freshmen this year but those rookies have acquitted themselves nicely so far during Jackson County's slate of scrimmage games.
