    Knights' Omotowa races to 100 title

    Omotowa beat a strong field of sprinters in the girls 100-meter dash during Saturday's 5A state track and field championships at Dona Larson Park in Boise, winning with a 2017 classification-best time of 12.26. She followed that by taking third in the 200; she swept the 100 and 200 at last week's District 5-6 championship meet.

    Tigers fall short in 4A final

    Idaho Falls High School shortstop Hunter Leavitt makes a throw to first base during Saturday's 4A state baseball championship game against Twin Falls at Bishop Kelly High School. The Tigers pushed across two runs on three hits in the opening inning of Saturday's 4A state title game against tournament favorite Twin Falls.

    Grizz fall short vs. Bruins

    The Grizzlies made an unlikely run to the District 5-6 tournament championship game a week ago and won a wild 4A state tournament opener against Lakeland on Thursday. But they fell behind Twin Falls early in Friday's state semifinal game and couldn't catch, losing 9-4 at Bishop Kelly High School in Boise.
