Hemet High's 6-5 baseball victory over San Jacinto on Friday seemed a little like a triumph made from odds and ends. Scoring runs in a variety of ways and using most of its pitching staff, the Bulldogs built a big early lead and held on, maintaining their strong midseason run. Comment?

Hemet swingman Troy Bolden spent the 2015 season being the guy who did all the little things to help his team win games. On Saturday night, Bolden's unselfish style played to his advantage as he used defense, steals and hustle to score 27 points and help lead Team Tarkanian to a 108-107 victory over Team Masi in the inaugural Inland Sports All-Star Classic at Perris Citrus Hill High School. With 20 of the Inland area's top senior boys basketball players, including five committed to NCAA Division I schools, the inaugural edition of the Inland Sports All-Star Classic will be an outstanding showcase of the talent that comes out of the Riverside/San Bernardino area. Saturday's 6 p.m. match up in the Perris Citrus Hill High gym features Team Tarkanian, coached by Corona Centennial's Josh Giles and Team Masi, coached by Woodcrest Christian's Scott Mossman .
