    After a one- and two-point games between the two this season, it only figured Lebanon and Beech would probably be even after regulation in the District 9-AAA tournament first round Thursday night at Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court. Beech took the rubber match 34-31 on a three-pointer by McCall Decker with .4 second left, the only points of the overtime, as the Lady Buccaneers ended Lebanon's season 34-31.

    Battle Ground Academy's girls took advantage of numerous Friendship Christian turnovers Tuesday night as the Lady Wildcats ousted the Lady Commanders from the East-Middle Region tournament 64-32 at BGA's Gary Smith Court. The Lady Wildcats led 14-8 following the first quarter, 30-12 at halftime and 50-21 through three periods as they advanced to the semifinals and sectional with a 16-10 record.

    First-place Lebanon clinched a top-two finish in District 9-AAA Tuesday night by blitzing Beech 63-54 on Senior Night at Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court. The Blue Devils led 19-9 following the first quarter, 34-23 at halftime and 50-34 through three periods as Lebanon moved to 18-7 for the season and 10-3 in the district, needing to beat only Portland during homecoming Friday night to clinch the top seed in the upcoming league tournament at Brandon Gym.

    Malcolm Logue poured in 31 points Monday night to lift Lebanon's boys to a 57-32 win over Wilson Central in the District 9-AAA semifinals at Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court. Logue had 15, including three 3-pointers, in the third quarter as Lebanon widened a 22-12 halftime lead to 41-22.

    Wilson Central sank 12 fourth-quarter free throws Friday night as the Wildcats outscored visiting Station Camp 23-12 in the period to pull away to a 58-47 homecoming victory. The teams were tied 35-35 going into the fourth before Central opened the margin down the stretch as the Wildcats climbed to 14-11 for the season and 6-6 in District 9-AAA.

    Seth Price passed the 2,000-career point mark on a 2-on-1 fastbreak layup in the opening moments of the second quarter. By the time Tuesday night's game ended, Price had 30 for the game, 2,023 for his career and the Purple Tigers had their 20th triumph of the season as Watertown raced past Merrol Hyde 80-46.
