The Gallia Academy wrestling team claimed third place out of 23 teams on Saturday at the Bob Zide Rumble, hosted by Williamstown High School. Shadyside won the competition with a score of 181.5, followed by East Fairmont with a 173 and GAHS with a 166.5. Three Blue Devils earned first place on the day, they were senior Anthony Sipple and juniors Jared Stevens and Kaleb Crisenberry. Comment?

Belpre High's senior 170-pounder decisioned Madonna's Garrett Cook, 5-4, in his second match, and then beat him again decisively with a pin in the consolation finals to place third in his weight class.
