    Ask any South Texas softball coach who is the hardest out in the area, and you'll find that a majority of them will give you the same answer: Gregory-Portland's Kiani Ramsey. With a unique blend of speed, bat control and power, Ramsey frustrated just about every opposing coach and, in doing so, earned herself a scholarship to play softball at Texas Tech University next spring.

    Celebrating 75 years of Buc Stadium

    Carroll and Miller will kick off the 2015 season with a Thursday night special, and to add to the excitement, it's also the 75th anniversary of Buccaneer Stadium. "A lot of people are coming in tomorrow, we have a gentleman coming from California that played here on one of the teams and it's a chance to get to hear from the people that played here," said CCISD Athletic Director Brenda Marshall.

    Beeville coach Alan Burkett talks with Tierra Moore before an at-bat in one of the Lady Trojans' final regular-season home games. Burkett led Beeville to a 28-3 mark in 2015 and is the inaugural winner of the mySouTex.com Softball Coach of the Year award.

    Isles baseball sign eight to roster

    Head Coach Scott Malone has announced eight more additions for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team for the upcoming 2015-16 school year. These signees join the 13 players that signed with the Islanders during the fall signing period last year to comprise the incoming class of Islanders Baseball.
