    Volleyball: Anderson County tops Oak Ridge

    Anderson County High School's volleyball team bounced back in style after losing its first District 3-AAA game of the year Wednesday at Halls. After handling Oak Ridge 25-9, 25-8 in the opening two games of the district tournament championship game, the Lady Mavericks dropped a 28-26 decision in Game 3. No problem, as Anderson County rebounded for a convincing 25-11 victory in the fourth game to claim the title.

    Volleyball: Catholic cruises to district title

    Catholic High School's volleyball team cruised to the District 4-AA tournament championship on Tuesday at Alcoa, beating Kingston 25-7, 25-5, 25-14 in the semifinals and Christian Academy of Knoxville 25-12, 25-17, 25-22 in the final. It's Catholic's third win this season over CAK, the reigning Class AA state champion.

    Anderson County rallies past Clinton

    It's another to tease a rival with the possibility of taking back the series, only to rally from a late deficit as Anderson County High School and running back Mason Phillips did Friday night.
