    Third time's not a charm: Rebels rattle Blue Raiders

    Knox West gave Cleveland numerous chances to prove their salt Friday night, but unfortunately for the Blue Raiders, the top-ranked Rebel squad did not pay for their mistakes. Despite forcing four turnovers, Cleveland's homecoming game was ultimately soured by a 38-14 loss to the reigning state runner-ups.

    'Stangs gallop past Polk

    Walker Valley head football coach Glen Ryan got what he wanted, but he didn't get what he was looking for in the Mustangs' 37-14 win over Polk County Friday night inside "The Corral." Ryan was happy to get the victory - the first in six tries against the Wildcats - but felt there were too many points left on the field and the game should have been won in the first half.

    Lady Raiders rally past Bearettes

    After a hotly contested, evenly played first 116 points, things got chilling for the home team in the Jim Smiddy Arena icebox Tuesday evening. Cleveland High and host Bradley Central traded 25-23 outcomes in the first two varsity volleyball sets and continued the nip-and-tuck battle early in the third set before the Lady Raiders scored 10 straight points to break open the match and then capped off a 25-15 set win with a 7-1 run.
