    Skaneateles girls lacrosse builds win streak

    Steeled by the rough experience of back-to-back defeats to Massapequa and Garden City, the Skaneateles girls lacrosse team found things far more hospitable against local opposition. First, the Lakers had doubled up Bishop Ludden-Bishop Grimes 20-10 on April 10. Then, three nights later, Skaneateles put together its best start of the season at Westhill, leaving a strong foe far behind them on the way to a 17-6 victory.

    Boys lacrosse Lakers have 3-0 week

    What the Skaneateles boys lacrosse team took from its near-miss against defending Section III Class C champion Cazenovia on April 2 was that it had the capability to make any opponent worry. At the same time, though, the Lakers have even made its victories stressful exercises for its fans, as was the case again in last Tuesday night's battle with Tully at Hyatt Stadium, which went to the wire before Skaneateles prevailed, 9-8, over the Black Knights.

    Ridings hits and gets the 'W' for Cazenovia baseball

    On the last day of its spring break road trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Cazenovia baseball team finally got its first win of the season. The Lakers beat Frontier 6-2 on Friday after falling in their three opening games by a combined 21-7 to schools from West Virginia and South Carolina.
