    Salem holds off West Branch

    Every time D.J. Pullie and his Salem teammates felt the heat from West Branch during Friday's rivalry game, they promptly found an answer. After seeing most of their 13-point halftime lead erode in front of a raucous packed house, the Quakers held on in the closing stages for a hard-earned 60-56 win at West Branch High School.

    Every time D.J. Pullie and his Salem teammates felt the heat from West Branch during Friday's rivalry game, they promptly found an answer.     Sebring overcomes water problems

    With the water fountains shut down because high lead levels were found in water in some area homes, Sebring McKinley head boys basketball coach and athletic director Josh Scott had to be resourceful for Friday's game against Mineral Ridge to go on as scheduled.

    Rusyn delivers in Salem win

    There isn't a player on the Salem boys basketball team that coach Rich Hart feels has shown more improvement over the years than Nick Ruysn. With the clock ticking away on his senior season, the 6-foot-8 forward came through with one of the best performances of his career, and was instrumental in the Quakers securing the biggest win of their season.
