    Buccaneers slide past Cougars, 6-0

    The Buckhannon-Upshur High School boys' soccer team hopped off the Bluebird at Lincoln High School Tuesday afternoon with a good game plan in mind, and executed with a dominating performance that ended with a 6-0 cruising victory, and valuable playing time for reserves.

    Buckhannon-Upshur girls' soccer went on their first Big 10 Conference road trip of the season Tuesday to be up 3-0 at the half, and put six more scores on the board in the second half at Stydahar Field to shutout Lincoln High School with a 9-0 victory.

    South girls soccer sees increase in numbers

    Last year, Parkersburg South's girls soccer team was at one point down to 11 healthy players, yet still finished with a 12-6-2 record. But this season, head coach Ron Bucholtz's squad numbers between 27 and 30, after beginning last season with only 13. However, then-junior Emily Cogar suffered a stress fracture in the third game and missed most of the season.
