    'Digger softball brings home All-State honors

    Alex Odle, left, and Lauren Berg, are pictured with Coach Tom Odle following a season that found all three earning CHSAA honors. Both Odle and Berg were named to the all state team, while Coach Odle received 2015 3A Coach of the Year honors.

    Six Beetdiggers take conference honors

    Senior members of the Brush softball team, along with Coach Tom Odle, were recognized during the team banquet held earlier this month. After having their best season in Brush softball history, the Beetdiggers had six players recognized with honors in the Patriot League for the 2015.

    Diggers downed by Bayfield 28-14 in barnburner

    It was a tough battle between the Brush Beetdiggers and Bayfield Wolverines, who met up in the Class 2A Quarterfinals, held at Beetdigger Stadium on Saturday. The Wolverines won the battle 28-14 and will take on the LaJunta Tigers on November 20. The Brush Beetdiggers pigskin season came to an end on a sunny post-season Saturday at the 'Digger Dome, where the 2A defending state champs endured a nail-biting battle against top-seeded, undefeated Bayfield - that is until the final frame.

    Brush bests Moffat to clinch quarterfinal bid

    The Brush Beetdiggers defense swarms to stop Moffat County running back Brett Loyd on Saturday. The Beetdiggers won 48-27 to move on the 2A State quarterfinals.
