    Central Lancers lose 2 of 3 games, star pitcher

    Brookfield Central finished with a 1-2 week, beating West Allis Hale, getting no-hit by Divine Savior Holy Angels and losing to New Berlin West. But there was more bad news, as all-conference pitcher Crystal Sicard broke her leg and is probably out for the year.

    Sport Shorts: April 23, 2015

Photo By Russ Pulvermacher Seniors Christian Simon and Alex Magestro won the MVP Award and the Most Improved Award, respectively, and junior Dominic Cartier won the Toughness Award for the second straight season. Simon was also a second-team All-Greater Metro Conference selection, while Engelhart, Cartier and senior Will Ikpi earned honorable mention honors.

    East girls track team wins own invitational

    Brookfield East had seven first-place finishes and won the Midwest Orthopedic and Wheaton Franciscan 40th annual Lady Spartan Invitational on April 15 at Brookfield East. Jasmine Watson placed first in the 100-meter run in 12.80 seconds, while Rachel Werking won the 3,200 run in 11 minutes, 17.32 seconds.
