    Paulie Stramaglia's free throws with 22 seconds left broke the tie, and Sean Elmore's breakaway layup at 0:06 clinched it as Mountain Brook's boys beat Huffman 56-52 in Wednesday's Northeast Regional 7A final. Mountain Brook advanced to the state semifinals in Birmingham and will play South Regional champion McGill-Toolen on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Legacy Arena.

    Tournament most valuable player Claire Holt poured in 32 points, and Spain Park downed Grissom 60-46 in Wednesday's Northeast Regional Class 7A girls final. The Jaguars advanced to the state semifinals and will play South Regional 6A champion McGill-Toolen Thursday at noon in Birmingham's Legacy Arena.
