    Himmelheber, Whiting earn Eastern Buckeye Conference...

    Marlington senior Blane Himmelheber and Alliance coach Seth Whiting were the top award winners on the Eastern Buckeye Conference football all-star team. Himmelheber, who helped the Dukes to an 8-2 record and a berth in the Division III playoffs, was named player of the year by the conference coaches.

    Dukes throw counterpunch before pick-6 knocks them out

    Dominated early by top-seeded Canfield and down 14-0 in a punting situation, Marlington coach Beau Balderson slammed his foot down. Trusting quarterback CJ Greiner to make a play on fourth-and-3 at midfield, he got a 20-yard completion to Markavien Mason, leading to a short touchdown run by Travis Wainuskis.

    West Branch, Salem renew rivalry

    Hoping to bounce back from two consecutive road losses, West Branch will return to Clinton Heacock Stadium to host rival Salem in an Eastern Buckeye Conference game Saturday night. The Warriors rallied during the fourth quarter of their recent game, scoring two touchdowns.

    West Branch rally falls short

    West Branch found itself in a three-touchdown fourth-quarter hole but clawed back to make things interesting at the end in 28-20 Eastern Buckeye Conference loss at league-leading Marlington Friday night. "It came down to the last seconds and we had an opportunity but fell a little bit short, but I'm proud of the players and coaches for the efforts they put in."
