Program to outline funding for small businesses Oct. 17

A program designed to explain various kinds of funding for owners of small businesses is being offered to the community, free of charge Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 270 Pleasant St. The event, called Bringing Bucks to Your Business, is hosted by Rockland Main Street Inc., Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce and the city of Rockland. Presenters include Midcoast Economic Development District, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Maine Technology Institute, MaineStream Finance, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, and the Maine Department of Labor.
