There isn't a war on a holiday when the foundation of that holiday is other religions beliefs incorporated to win over the pagans to Christianity, If you look at how the bible describes his birth it would put him born roughly in October not December

Actually there is alot of misunderstandings about the Bible concerning Christmas. Jesus was born in a warm month or the sheperds would have not been watching their flock by night. Jesus was not born in a stable..the inn was not a hotel..it was a family home where there was no more room so they gave them a place where animals were kept..so it isn't a wood stable like depicted in church stories or tv shows..nor a cave..but the place he was born was a family home and the place he was born was located in the house but below the dwelling.

These details really are of no importance. We as Christians are not celebrating the date, we celebrate the event. Where he was born and the temperature does not change the fact that he was born so we could all be saved. Thank you Father for sending your son!!

because there just isn't. I celebrate Christmas every year and never feel threatened. I do respect other holidays that take place at the same time. maybe the war is against those people.

Not under the Constitution, but in colonial times, the Massachusetts Puritans passed a number of anti-Christmas laws. Schools held classes on Christmas days, businesses were open, and those who celebrated openly were subject to censure. Even after the revolution, many states did not declare Christmas as a state holiday until after the Civil War.

It does matter about all the details in the sciptures and historical evidence about the birth of Jesus. Many people are ignorant and believe he was actually born on December 25th just like others can not count the days between his death and ressurection. Christmas is a time of celebration I love Santa, reindeers, snowmen, decorations, lights, etc...and the fact that a child's smile on Christmas day can brighten your life because of the giving of presents. I do not like the hustle and bustle of commercial shopping, etc.. There is no war against Christmas and I doubt you will ever see one. However the Turkey Day we will see stores open eventually earlier and earlier so poeple can start their Christmas shopping. That holiday is just about gove due to retailers. So that is not a war created by government or other religions but the greed of man.

Me, I don't care much about wars on abstract notions. It's the wars we make on each other that bother me.

I think there might be a war on Christmas and I think there has been for a long time.
My Christmas is fine and as for me personally, I will celebrate Jesus, the reason for the
season and nobody can change that.........

No one is in ANY WAY being "stopped" or even hindered from celebrating Christmas, so how can anyone say there is a "war on Christmas?"
