I had gone to Dr. Before I had left I said Merry Cristmas to the nurse that drew my blood. She stated that she wasn't allowed to say that she was instructed to say happy holliday that a patent that she said Merry Cristmas to went to the main office and comlpained that it was offencive to them. I f you don't believe that there is a war on Cristmas you are mistaken. Many of these people want to take relligion aeway from all of us and anything with Cristianity.

This is america you don't like our religion don't come to our country it's that simple. the people that want to come here don't even want to obey our laws, i say down with berkas, get licence for buggies , put lights on them and obey the law of the land. due your own religion at your time and start obeying our laws. or leave it's that simple. i will use a phrase a wise person told me the other day before long we will be know as the united china of america, it's a dam shame our law makers allow this to hapen, and worce yet we the people for allowing the lawmakers to get away with unamerican ways and the money they are brought off with this is both dems. and replubs.

I am American, born and raised but MY religion is not YOUR religion. Does that make me less of an American? Do you think all people of the Jewish, Muslim, Hindu faiths should be kicked out of America because they don't share your belief system? Do you think people who don't believe in religion should be kicked out of America? Your saviour, Jesus (assuming you are Christian), was Jewish. Would you kick Jesus out of America?

I will keep saying Merry Christmas, even though I don't associate with the Christian faith, it's how I was raised and it's a proper greeting this time of year. However, if I know that the person I am conversing with is Hindi, Jewish or Muslim, I will give them the greeting of Happy Diwali, Hanukkah, or Ramadan. Freedom of personal rights is what America was founded on. Freedom of religion being one of those rights.

Your faiths came over here and got affended on our beleafs and are always trying to change it.This country was built on hard work and the beleafs of god jesus and country, the pledge in our schools was under god and nothing else, it affened you so they changed it, god, jesus and country is what america stands for and not for you to change our beleafs. There was no israel or palestine until around 1950. I beleave jesues was born a palestian and choose the jews as his people. Don't forget jesus was bathtised as a christran by john the babtist and not a jew or any other faith. Christmas is jeuses birthday honner it.

Know one actualy knows the exact day or date, but this day was set aside to honor him and his birth. Why don't we just honor him everyday and treat each other as he would want us to do, that would be a lot better for everyone.

So you can tell someone's religion just by looking at them? I'm not offended by ANYONE'S choice of religion or holiday, but I will continue to say "Merry Christmas" to those I don't know their religion. If someone says Happy (their holiday) I have no problem saying it back.

Why is it that as an American I am suppose to embrace others and their ways, but I'm not allowed to expect the same thing in return?

What I don't understand! Why do I have to change the way I have said my greetings to others? Maybe that's my Right, to use it My Way?! Maybe I AM OFFENDED, because of my rights being taken away?!!!
I am a person with rights also...an AMERICAN period! I don't pay attention to race, religion etc.... I just know that I am being respectful to others in my own way...I could choose to just not say anything or even worse and say UP YOURS!!
I SAY WITH WHATS LEFT OF MY RIGHTS... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR ...TO ALL!!

There are many different religions and cultures in this country, and you should be free to celebrate yours however you choose. But not if it's going to hinder the way I celebrate mine. If I say Merry Christmas to you then you should just accept that that is how my culture or religion is. But that doesn't mean you have to say the same back. At that point you can say whatever it is that you say. If you say Happy Holiday, you won't see me running like a cry baby saying "oh that offeneds me" that is what you choose to say just like I choose to say what I want to say. It's supposed to be a free country, why do I have to give up my freedoms because you think it should be your way.

Of course it's real. However, all religions are pagan from my perspective and with the history of so many Messiahs in ancient history, one can only assume that the most recent, Jesus is the real Messiah... -cough- bull s**t. How we act towards our neighbors, near and far, says more about each of us than what cult we belong to.

I think that is going overboard. Yes, the USA has many different religions, but to fight over which is right is a losing battle on every angle. Exactly why I choose to refer to myself as spiritual rather than religious. I believe in God...for all I know your God could be the same one just called different. I can't judge because I don't know. Several people could read a verse and get different opinions of the meaning. People think differently, we believe differently, we act differently, and we speak differently. That's the great thing about America! It's the only joined country! Don't like it? Move to Canada. You don't have to agree with someones religion or beliefs to respect them!
