Not a religuos guy, but the first 6 letters in Christmas are the "reason for the season" for most of America, I hope! In God We Trust. Merry Christmas. Plain and simple, the USA is based upon God and Christ. Even a non-religous guy like myself wants to keep all that in place.

Why is everything here in capital letters? It's not like I'm shouting. Please allow lower case letters, so that some emotion can be felt where needed, not just assumed everywhere!

Perhaps it is just my computer that does this?

Anyone else have this problem?

You realize that Christmas was a pagan holiday long before it was Christmas, right?

Aside from that, given the enormous amount of spending done during the month of December, I'm not seeing any sort of war on Christmas. Maybe a war on personal budgeting and saving but certainly not on Christmas.

to dick z. your are allowed your own opinions but cerainly not your own facts. so here we go: the usa is based on secular laws and not god and christ. in fact, the only official usa document ever mentioning what our values were based on is the Treaty with the barbary coast pirates signed under pres.adams or jefferson. it stated that the usa was not a christian country but was based on secular laws.go look it up and see who has his facts correct.
i give you that the vast majority of our citizens are of the christian faith, but our country is still secular.
gumby.

There is a little button next to the "A" on the left side of your keyboard. It says, "caps lock."

Yeah, that "little button" doesn't work on your computer either, apparently. Unless I am missing something? All caps appear everywhere on this post, not so elsewhere. At least on my computer.

Anyone else seeing this?

I guess I just don't have the time to do the research needed. The term "In God We Trust" on all USA currency would lead one to make a connection between God and country, but not necessarily to Christ. Right?

i dont think America is based on God, if they were then they would not allow gay marriage fpor it is a great sin.

in God we trust is just words without meaning .
if they trusted in God, they will not allow lesbian and gay marriage ,for it is a sin.
