If you don't think there is a war on Christmas, you don't know what you're talking about. Everywhere we turn political correctness has us by the short hairs. you can't say Merry Christmas without someone getting offended, or worrying about viloating someone elses civil rights. I've got one for ya. WHAT ABOUT OUR SENSIBILITIES AND CIVIL RIGHTS? It was cool to say Merry Christmas, and for cities to have Nativity scences on the town square, LOONG before it wasn't cool. What has changed? The liberals shoving of multiculturalism down our throats. We have become so accommodating to the customs, values, and cultures of others, that we have allowed them to trample, dilute, and castigate our own. We allow them to tell us OUR customs offend them, IN OUR OWN COUNTRY! We're not saying you can't be what you are and observe your customs. But we are saying if you want to be an American, and enjoy all the rights and privledges that go with it. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BE AN AMERICAN FIRST! If saying the pledge at school offends you, leave the room while they say it. If saying a prayer before a football game offends you, cover your ears. If saying Merry Christmas offends you, say happy holidays. If a CHRISTMAS tree offends you, put up a holiday tree. If a nativity scene offends you, don't look at it. You want us to respect you, fine. But you're going to have to respect us too! I with the Australians on this one. If you don't like the way we do things. Pack your shyt and get out! Make 2012 the year political correctness dies, and American values, customs, and traditions come home! Tea Party 2012!

There is not a war on Christmas. What there is too much catering to the atheist who don't believe in anything.

Some of you folks ought to try reading the Constitution. What we really have here is not a war on Christmas but a war on freedom of religion.

You can worship as you choose, fine. But don't use my tax dollars and the power of the government to force your religion on other people.

I'm with drabbit. With freedom OF religion, also comes freedom FROM...goes together without saying. Do people really need everything spelled out in detail ?

The government should not be required to honor one particular religion, nor any/all. Government, and that includes the town square and courthouse, need(s) to stay OUT OF IT. And I don't want MY tax dollars being spent on government endorsement of religion either.

What I want to know, is why can't the religious folk put these displays on their church, or personal, property(ies)? The answer....it's all about being SEEN.
