Please wait...
It is as real as the reality of non-theist groups taking legal action to disrupt Christmas and anything to do with God.

Those people need to go back to whatever country they came from. This country was founded on Christian beliefs. If someone doesn't like it then leave.

Well this country... i"m not %100 is was founded on Christian beliefs considering a lot of our founding fathers were Masonic satanists, but I digress... Christmas is not founded on Christian beliefs. The truth is Christmas originated from the Roman pagan holiday Saturnali. In which the men would get together and exchange gifts and have intercourse with one another. In fact, people use to get so crazy during Christmas that the holiday was banned by the protestant church in the 1700's. Saturnali revolved around worship of the Sun and was festival to usher in the new year. Ever wonder why it's nothing but evergreen plants that revolve around "Christless"? Because they believed these plants held special powers connected with the Sun because they stayed Green all year long. Was Jesus really born during winter? Highly unlikely. It says in the Bible that the shepherds were out keeping watch over their flock by night. Highly unlikely if it was winter. The Palestinian winters were far too cold. Now ask yourself this if you are Christian. How does Christmas glorify God in full entirety? It doesn't.

I guess it would probably be closer to maybe October. That's not the point.December is the time chosen or accepted, by people to celebate the birth of Christ. For everything that God has good, Satan has a counterfit fake. To me, the evergreen tree represents the everlasting life that is available to every believer. The bright lights and ornaments represents the rewards we can, and will receive at the appointed time.As far as the homsexual, queer, activities you described,it could happen anywhere and anytime perverted minds come together.Every one wants to delete Christ from Christmas and take away nativity scenes from public places because it "offends" someone. Well, I'm offended by all these other people getting free reign and christians being silenced!!

well its nice to know that some people still see the glass half full. Your symbolism is quite optimistic so i guess we can just ignore that commandment about not making ANY graven images. It shouldn't apply with such wonderful meanings like that. Could you tell me how God gets all the glory during Christmas? They were celebrating this Holiday way before Jesus was born.

"Voter" says, "They were celebrating this Holiday way before Jesus was born." People were celebrating a holiday, but it wasn't Christmas! In this country, the holiday we celebrate is called Christmas, so it is in honor of Christ's birth, no matter what month that birth actually occurred. If you don't want to celebrate Christmas, then claim to be celebrating Saturnalia or something. Just stop denigrating the holiday based on Jesus' birth, because that is what is truly offensive.

Could you tell me how God gets all the glory during Christmas? They were celebrating this Holiday way before Jesus was born. Some of us Christians celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday. We acknowledge that no one knows the actual date of Christ's birth. Santa Claus is not a Christian figure to us! Now, why would you object to folks giving gifts and helping people, in the name of Christ? My work unit provided gifts to four underpriviliged children this year. I guess that you would prefer that they didn't receive gifts, because the name of Christ is associated with the holiday. Grow up, some of the Founders of this country were "agnostics," not Satanists, or even atheists. In fact, the "G" that you see under the Mason compass, stands for God. You are free to be an atheist, agnostic, satanist, or whatever you choose to believe. It's ust not cool to bash Christ! Somewhere, I had heard of this concept of "good manners." Please celebrate your Saturnalia, and I will not interfere. Please give us the same respect, both secular celebrants, and religous celebrants. Have a merry Christmas!

Not to be argumentitive with you, but, all through the Bible,we can find types and shadows that represented something in the future. I, by no means, implied that the tree or lights should be placed before God.It is only a representation, for me, of things to come. Now, how does God get all the glory during Christmas? By us worshiping Him in the Spirit of the Birth of His only Son, Jesus Christ.I don't know what "they" were celebrating "before" Jesus was born, but we couldn't celebrate "Christmas",or Christ Time, before He was born. Again, I don't know just when He was born, but we have chosen this time of year to celebrate. Let's celebrate it with "peace on earth" and "good will toward man". MERRY CHRISTMAS, my friend.

Atheist, you feel the need to attack Christians to stay "relevent" about yourself. This thread is old, and I see no evidence of Christians attacking your lack of belief in a god. Are you bored with life? The weather is great! The fish are biting, and baseball and softball seasons are at full swing. You can even join the Obama re-election team. Please do something constructive with your life. An atheist believes that there is no god, so why would you attack something that you believe doesn't exist?

Your god isn't real but you are, as are the consequences of living with people who believe in Bronze Age fairy tales. You might as well ask why worry about Islamic extremists, since I don't believe in their god, or why worry about Scientology since I don't believe in Xenu.

His only qualifications were to be a janitor. We are still waiting down here in Sunny Hills ,for you Sunny Hills Civic Assoc bunch

Then everyone wanted one in their homes, great gimmick. Dude, queen Victoria married a German that celebrated in different traditions than the English. She only took up her husband family Christmas tradition, as a lot of people do. Jump on the band-wagon, got to follow the Joneses.See ya laterz
