Immigrants, once citizenship is earned and granted, should be offered every opportunity afforded natural born citizens. Illegal immigrants, on the other hand, are a burden upon the legal taxpaying citizens of the United States. No taxpayer-funded services should be made available to illegals.

It is astounding to me why this would be in question...but then again...politicians like Bill Richardson made these 'illegal immigrants' his target for re-election votes...pathetic. He promised untold benefits to those who would cross the border, tried his best to protect them from detection...
But, now that we're facing 'cartel' homicide/kidnapping/drug trade as they do in Mexico, who do we have to thank? Why, Bill...of course...in the interim...Thank goodness we now have a Governor who has the security of the entire country at heart....not the next election...
Bill Richardson turned a 'blind eye' to the extremism of the advancing drug trade/drug usage/cartel invasion/drug violence because he needed their vote...illegal tho they may be, he encouraged their vote...
Now, we have a legitimate Governor, one who stands for the valid, legal citizens of New Mexico...Period. She put a stop to the illegal crap Richardson was responsible for...It's not happnin anymore.

Illegal immigrants should definitely go home to Europe. If you do not have tribal membership, you have no right to be here. My indigenous cousins from our entire Aztecan empire have my permission to come here and visit in our shared ancestral home. The illegal alien white people though, no. It is time for them to leave.

i'm with catori on this deal. you wipe your ass on stolen land cary. never forget that. why punish the children? i'm not sure that very many grade school aged kids are hopping the border to get an education here.. they're here through no fault of their own. what do you suggest then for the children of so called illegal immigrants? let em watch tv all day till they're old enough to get hired under the table at your favorite restaurant? you can't wave a wand and make the brown people go away, they have every right to this land, by "our" own methods. you should sleep well knowing they are only crossing a border to live and work here... better than "our" way, eh? genocide? violence?

OMG...you've got to be kidding? Do you actually believe this has anything to do with legal immigration? What they're talking about is 'ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS'. The word we must pay special attention to is 'ILLEGAL'...illegal..ILL..E... G..A..L..ILLEGAL....no matter how you twist it, it's still 'illegal immigrant'....they're not 'so-called'....they're ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS...period....illegal . And until and/or/if they perform the conditions set forth by the consititution of the United States of America, they'll remain 'Illegal Immigrants'....earn it....tunnel rats don't apply...unless you've done the paper, don't even try...

Tribal membership???? What Tribe? Hmmmmm....What about the Anazazi? They had NOTHING to do with Mexico...they were here first...do your research...idiot. It has nothing to do with Mexico or indigenious natives.
What sets the immigration standard is the current government. And, the current government of the United States of America is based on the constitution....and, that constitutes the deportation of any and all illegal immigrants. Period. For the security and safety of our country. Period. Period. Period.

It's amazing, considering how much this nation, the United States of America, has to offer it's citizens, that there are so many people here who despise their own country. These are truly the Obama supporters of today. Shameful.

What do I suggest? Illegal immigrants should be deported, en mass, and their children with them. Period. End of story.

I suggest you study some history. If you believe that following U.S. Federal law is "Nazism", then your interpretation of what Nazism represents is severely skewed.

I guess I was fortunate to have learned some of the history of Nazism from a few folks who lived in it's grasp. But there is plenty of written history for you to avail yourself of, so you really have no excuse to continue to mistakenly equate the U.S. with Nazism.

except for the fact that, you know, hermann goering compared the extermination of the jews to that of the native americans during the nuremburg trials.

i'd get into the origins of water fluoridation too but that's a bit off topic and over your head.

Interesting that you place so much stock in the words of Hermann Goering.

I don't know why anyone would start a forun topic that is such an "emotionally" charged subject. Regardless of their position, NO ONE is going to move toward the others view. Any comments (or slurs) will only make each party even more stubborn in their stance.

Disagree...unless of course you have a closed mind. Being open minded is not lawlessness...a disregard for the constitution of the United States. It's about speaking out. It's about expressing opinion. It's called democracy/republic...
While I agree that most already have a stern mindset, those who are willing may learn opposition valid points. And no, I don't believe expressing opinions make us close-minded...I believe it makes us think.

Republican Secretary of State Duran says she found evidence of 117 foreign nationals registered to vote in NM. And between the years of 2003 to 2011, some may have even voted. There were approximately 600,000 votes for the 2010 NM gubernatorial race so that means an astounding 0.02% might have been illegal aliens, and they probably voted for the candidate with the Hispanic surname. When asked to provide any evidence of large scale voter fraud, Secretary Duran declined citing Executive Privilege.

Why is the violence happening in Mexico? Part of the reason is the demand for illicit drugs in the United States plus the exportation of illegal weapons to Mexico. You have yourself to partially blame.

Governor Martinez is doing nothing more than grandstanding, in pursuit of higher office - can you say VP? If she were truly serious on reducing illegal immigration, she'd issue an Executive Order requiring all the state's law enforcement to participate in the ICE Program 287(g). This program is taxpayer funded training and authorization for local law enforcement to partner with ICE to enforce immigration laws. Arizona Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arapio has been using this program to arrest and deport at least 700,000 illegals since 2003.

I personally feel that we should not provide education to illegal immigrants, but no medical assistance, no housing, no food allowance, or ANY assistance of any kind. With that said, your post only demonstrates my earlier post. I acknowledge that calling people who don't agree with me unpatriotic, socialists, or ignorant of the US Constitution will only make them more strong in their resistance. It appears that you are also not open to any compromise.

My point was in response to being slammed for my 'close-minded' attitude. My opinion is just that, my opinion...just as yours is. In the 'forum' arena, if we dont keep an open mind and listen to the opinions of others, how can we hope to compromise? It's not either or...it's a our America...and as citizens, we need to protect our borders. I've said time and time again that the border is an avenue for terrorism. It's not just about cartel activity (Phoenix is now the number one city in the WORLD for kidnappings, based on the drug trade). It's about our border's vulnerability to terrorists. A copy of the Koran was found in an Arizona desert location well known to the 'mule trade' industry. What does that say for the next threat of....911? In my mind, the first line of defense is our border security. Then, send the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS back to the country they hail from. As far as those who've already been arrested and remain in US custody? Ship them home. Let their government feed and house them for the duration of their incarceration. It's not about the tired, hungry and those seeking asylum...it's about protecting American citizens from a repeat of 911 and the horrible lawlessness of the Mexican cartel/drug trade industry.

There are 'laws' on the books which will punish the employer...but who'll turn them in? The employee? No, they want to remain under the radar...the employer? No, they don't want to go to court...so who will report them? Us. That's 'WHO'...and as far as keeping track of the illegal immigrants who've voted in elections? Who knows....they've found a way to obtain illegal forms of identification which qualify them for that right...and with the help of the state of New Mexico....they can hold obtain a 'valid, American driver's license'....the skies the limit...unemployment benefits, health care, educational loans, education for their children...ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE PROVIDED IN ALMOST EVERY SCHOOL IN NEW MEXICO! Give me a break! English as a 'second language!' This is AMERICA! English is the only language. Period. Why are we subidizing this? If, you want to bring your family to America, legally, why would you expect your children to be taught the language of a completely different country, continent? America....land of the free...home of the brave...what our ancestors, our husbands, our wives, our children have died for...for hundreds of years....welcome to America! Welcome!
But, if you wish to come, do so legally, respect those that have died so that you have that opportunity...Welcome...legall y.
