And you REPUBLICANS still believe anything you hear from Ruash AND fOX NEWS. yET THEY BELIEVE IN A FIGMENT OF NOT EVEN HALF TRUTHS BUT COMPLETE FABRICATED LIES. accorn CLOSED IT'S DOORS IN 2010---REMEBER THAT EPISODE THAT WAS PRESENTED BY THE rEPUBLCIANS ON THE FLOOR OF CONGRESS And took their funding away. ACCORN is shut down and gone. Can not these republ;icans keep up with the correct news or did thsoe people get zapped by the forget truth machine and believe in myths created by the talking republican myth machine. Sunny, one of the things that should be put on the table is the benefits of the congress, all the way to their retirment. Cutting those benefits of congress moght be smal but with other cuts to go with them would sone add up to millins if not billions.Just how much does the benefits of congress cost each year?

Folks, I have changed my mine about old Newt Gingrich. I now think he is a realistic person. Here is what Gingrich said about Romney and the election results and gift giving ----Romney had enough billionaire supporters, if buying the electorate was the key, he could have got all his super pac friends together and said ,don't buy adds ,buy gifts. Now I think old Newt had the right idea. After all did not some of thsoe super pac Romney friends spend millions on Romney's election and lost--maybe gifts would have helped

I was not aware that republicans were blaming ACORN for anything. ACORN did not close their doors. They changed their name and continued on as usual. In your opinion, was ACORN a good and reputable orginazation? What exactly did they represent and what did they try to accomplish? Why were they receiving federal funds?

Why are you still obsessed with Romney? You need to be concerned with the financial straits that your man, obama, has created for us and the condition of foreign affairs and what, if anything, he will do.

Hi there Sunshine, to day I watched Senator McConnell do something in the senate that has never happpened before. I watched Seantor McConnnell bring a bill to the floor and it was up for a vote but Old Mitch filibustered hois own bill. The chair suddenly blurted out whiplash. Ido believe Mith has out match ed even his ownself. Now why would a man want to introduce a bill in the senate, Reid set up for a vote, and then fillibuster hsi own bill. He has set a new record in the senate present a bill then fillibuster it his ownself. Even the republcians looked amazed, He made himself look very foolish.

I guess the working people are not going to get their tax cut from the GOP. And there are some tea baggers that still believe the Accorn organization was the cause of Romney's defeat. that is a good laugh--shows how much they are keeping to reality. Those same people still believe in black helocopters and because of the disabilities act that was voted down that they were coming to take their kids away.Every day I am amazed at the different happenings in politics. And thsoe happenigns sure put a smo;e on my face. Why I would even bet that the tea baggers come up with someone to run against McConnell in the next election if MCConnell has enough strenght to even run.Old Mc even forgot and fillerbustered his own bill

What was the name and number of the bill? Give that to me and I will look it up to see what kind of pork was added before Reid took action. Perhaps the pork is why McConnell took action.

I have done some research on this. Let me see if I can explain. This started with Obama essentially asking the Treasury Department for the power to raise the debt limit without interference from Congress, something that would spell disaster to the US and go against the powers set up by the Constitution. Apparently, McConnell thought there would be enough votes in the Senate to vote against the bill (60 votes required) and quickly settle the question. It appears the democrats agreed among themselves to vote for the bill to show up McConnell. In doing this democrats have shown us that they would vote for a destructive bill. In order to keep this destructive bill from passing, McConnell had to filibuster to stop the bill.

The last I heard, the GOP was willing to keep the tax rates that are in place at this time. As far as I can tell, obama and the democrats are proposing the same thing for those under $250,000. Give me a link to show the GOP is wanting to raise taxes on the working people.

Sorry about that SunShine, I do not watch fox News or listen to Rush. Did you see where McConnelll had his propsal brought up on the senate floor about the debt ceiling then fillerbustered his own bill. He made history as the first senator to fillibuster hos own bill.

You forget and leave out one fact of the proposal Sunahine--that proposal was brought forth last year by McConnell on that very same subject. Just as the Obama care health care act was first drawnm up by the Heritage foundation and that Romney used that same study to bring RomneyCARE to old Mass. That is where Obama care came from. And people are still talkiing about and afraid of dEATH PANELS==which was soon proven to be a misrepresentation of the truth about ObamaCare. Agin Sunshine, old Mitch brought up the subject on the debt ceiling in the same descriptive way. His Idea of what to do with the debt ceiling. IOf it was me I would just let the republicvans say ney or yea on the choice of the debt ceiliing as they control the house. It is in their ball park.

Do you realize how hard it is to carry on a discussion with you? Where did "I do not watch fox News or listen to Rush" come from? Neither had been mentioned before. Did you read post #94 where I explained about McConnell? We have sent these people to Washington to run the country and they spend their time playing Gotcha and the liberal media falls in step with them.

Your rambling makes no sense. What significance does a subject brought up last year have to do with what happened this week? NOTHING other than to give you something to play bully. I don't know what the hell you are talking about when you change the subject to romneycare and the heritage foundation. Neither has anything to day with the discussion. I will tell you, though, that the death panels are real.

SunShine, it makes quite a lot of difference when it is the same person, a republican, the very same person that introduced the proposal to the world --the president just brought up the subject after it was aready brought up. And why would a Senator bring a proposal to the senate floor and get the OK for an up or down vote that he agreed to and then fillibuster his very own proposal after it was set to come to a vote? First time a seantor ever fillibustered his own propoal. He got trapped by stepping into his very own trap.By the way sunshine, that proposal by Obama was turned down by the Reepublicans real quick

Sunshine, when did we ever have a death panel in a goverment health care act? you are not thinking with reality. Teh only death panels I hve ever known of was the private health care corporations that turn down the people who own iinsurnace policies and are rejected for health care treatment by their insurance company. That is the only type death panels iknow of, rejecting health care for policy holders of private insurance compnaies. But there are absolutly no death panels in Obama care.
