I was hoping Romney would pick a VP that was less extreme. Ryan's stance on Medicare, Medicaid, tax breaks for the rich and additional tax burdens on the middle class and poor is unfortunate. I was hoping for a change in the presidency but I think this eliminates any hope of doing so.

Does it really matter whether Mitt or Barack signs the next bail-out check destined for Wall Street?

If you think the 2008 financial crisis was a one-time event, you be dead wrong. And mortgages wont be the scapegoat for the next one as it was for the last one.

At a certain point I don't believe there is a difference between the parties. They all say one thing but then do nothing.

Ryan is a Sarah Plain tea bag, wrapped in ribbons and bows. Romney sought to win over the ultra conservatives and forgot he could alienate the Independents and Moderates. Even Republicans refused to back Ryan's extreme (third rail) proposals in 2010.

People will not like the idea of shouldering higher costs of swapping Medicare for Coupon Care while Ryan fights for more tax breaks or eliminating taxes for the wealthy.

Watch this mature crowd react to Ryan's lies about taxing the top 1%. Never mess with the Gray Revolution. They are merely older, not stupid.

Definition of 'Plutonomy': Economic growth that is powered and consumed by the wealthiest upper class of society. Plutonomy refers to a society where the majority of the wealth is controlled by an ever-shrinking minority; as such, the economic growth of that society becomes dependent on the fortunes of that same wealthy minority.

The infamous Citigroup memos about Plutonomy here in the United States (pdf format)

Nothing warms my heart more than listening to a bunch of poor folk in Appalachia voting for the caretakers of Plutonomy.

Romney VP pick is great!! Knows the law and taxes, he will

Why in the world would a presidential candidate chose a running mate that would have to be reigned in? Romney has already stated that Ryans platforms are in contrast to his own.

Ryan is an excellant choice. He is willing to tackle the tough issues which must be addressed unlike Obama who is only interested in his re-election. This country was already going bankrupt when Obama was elected and he has accelerated the process. Some of you critics of Ryan can't seem to articulate your own views judging by the way you quote these liberal liberal websites. This country can't survive another 4 years of Obama. Even after over 3 1/2 years of on the job experience, he is still the least qualified person ever to be nominated to run. If he wins another term, things will get so bad that it will take generations to recover if ever. Just look at the poople who support him-welfare recipents, Hollywood, extremist groups like the New Black Panthers, unions, government workers, illegal immigrants, and others only interested in what they can get from the government instead of doing what is best for the country.

Willy's still promoting the Rush, Robus & Reamus propaganda, AKA Bush policies 2.0. What do you think about how the Republicans treated Ron Paul? I've never seen a party throw so many of their right wingers friends under the bus just to suck up to the undecided and conservative Democrats who may not even vote. Not allowing Ron to speak because he won't kiss butt? Taking away half his delegates, shoving them off camera where their disgust, outrage and anger won't be too noticeable on TV. No rights or free speech for those nonconforming conservatives! Their money and propaganda machine was good enough until now. Now the Ron Paul supporters are the strange uncle no wants to be seen with or be related to. Yeah, that's the GOP Lee Atwater knew and loved.

I just can't see myself voting for either
of these birds. I would feel like I am cutting
my own throat. I would rather see them fight
it out and kill each other without my
participation. Man- this is a bad day in
black rock. This is not the country I
once knew. PEACE, Jim

I need RYAN to explain how he is going to
fix medicare and social security.
All of us retired people don't want a decrease
in our benefits. That would make me feel like
my president and government was my enemy.
The way to fix ss is to not have an earnings
cutoff limit but to pay the tax for the whole year
like the poor people does. Also, we shouldn't
give any money to foreign countries and we
should have absolutely no outsourcing. Peace-Jim

Willy can think for himself. Willy bases his views on facts, data, reason, and logic not on what some air bags like Rush or Obama says. I didn't like Bush neither but the longer Obama has been in office the better Bush looks. I've been favorabably impressed by the Republican Convention so far. Wait till the Democratic Convention(circus) next month and just look at the type of people participating. Who in their right mind would want to be on their side in this election. Obama will still be blaming Bush for the state of the economy and making other excuses for his failed presidency. People so good at making excuses are rarely good for much of anything else.
