Romney is probably a better choice, as much as I hate to say it. Even us young idealists know when to say when.

I'd vote for Chris Christie if he had chosen to run. Talk about someone that speaks his mind! I have no choice though to vote for Romney. Ryan is not so bad. I hope he lives up to his promises/roots. Obama means well, but I have lost faith in his ability to lead.

I wish Romney had won. I am concerned about Iran. I like Obama as a person, but not as a leader.

Actually your the one that should do your homework. At the end of the day, the President has power to veto any budget passed by Congress. And had the Dems not passed the 2008 Budget, signed by Bush, our military's funding for two wars would have been cut off.
And let's not forget the wild, out of control spending(12 trillion dollars) the Bush Administration and the Republicans did for the seven years prior to 2008 or the lack of Federal oversight/regulation enforcement of the Banking Industry. I bet you think that has nothing to do with the state of our economy today.
Get a clue, dummy!

Do your homework loud mouth.....

the ability of an agency to spend money is based on Congressional approval. Without that approval, the agencies cannot spend. If the president vetoes the budget, and does not allow emergency funding under what is known as a "Continuing Resolution," (which allows the agencies of government to continue operation under funding levels of last year's budget), then yes, the government shuts down -- but not all of it.

Certain functions such as the military, law enforcement and other "essential services" are continued and funded under the previous year's budget. But "non-essential services" shut down, the workers are sent home, and the operations of government stop until the president and Congress come to terms.

Oh and by the way

The President can only veto if he has enough support to prevent a congressional override.

guess what, he doesn't

OH and by the way....

(CBS News) The National Debt has now increased more during President Obama's three years and two months in office than it did during 8 years of the George W. Bush presidency.

The Debt rose $4.899 trillion during the two terms of the Bush presidency. It has now gone up $4.939 trillion since President Obama took office.

I just do not see much of a difference any more.Bush 43 grew government as fast as he could and much more than Clinton could have imagined.I still firmly believe that he is the primary reason Obama was elected in 08.

As Cheney once said, deficits do not matter and that is a quote.I would be happy if we just did not grow government more that the rate of inflation but that is considered radical today.

We are sadly witnessing the beginning of the end of the USA and big government republicans are fighting with even bigger government liberals on how big each one can grow it faster.

The so called architect Karl Rove who has been attacking tea party candidates and who directed the worst President besides the one we have in office now in destroying the GOP for a generation. All the while Rush defended Bush and was a lap dog for Karl and Bush and helped them along the way.

Obama is now setting himself up to be the King who wants to do away with congress to set up the socialist dream of a State run Dictatorship and we certainly can Thank Bush 43 and compassionate conservatism for that.

Hold on you your guns people because it sure looks as if we are going to need them. And to my fellow citizens in Texas ,It makes me happy to see your ad declaring that you would welcome honest law abiding NYers and our guns to your state.Makes me believe maybe ,just maybe their is still hope.

No doubt about it and it certainly led to the destruction of the GOP.If a citizen wants bigger government then why not vote the party that really can make it bigger than fool around with those half heart-ed wannabies known as Bush and Rove.

I was skeptical of Bush when he first came to office and within a few months I knew we were in big trouble. And lets make sure we include Rush who gave cover to the massive build up of Government under Bush 43.
We now have a Governor in NY who is setting himself up for a presidential run and just Like Obama he is circumventing the state congress to pass laws on to the sheeple here. And why not follow in the foot steps of a President who is trying and succeeding in doing the exact same thing but on a grander and more dangerous scale.

If their is any hope it is in the fact that karl Rove and the establishment is now directly under fire for what they believe in all along and that is big Government.Even Rush has had to tone down his love affair with the Bushes in order to save his show.

If people want a taste of socialism move to NY for one year but be prepared to pay 5,000 $ in property and school tax on a house assessed at 135,000. We just rent homes here even after they are paid for. Oh by the way gas tax is about .70 cents on every gallon and its over 4 again.Welcome to the new America.

your absolutely right! The working man (black or white) is caught between a rock and a hard place. Unless I move to the middle of no where before all other expenses, I pay the gov't vig of nearly $700 a month to call my self a 'homeowner'.....

Not sure what you mean Tay biggie but if wanting to keep the money I have earned on a 40 hour pay check means being angry with both parties who want to take at least half of my check than I guess i have no personality .

Watching the presidency devolve in to a MTV show of awards and phony arguments about how 85 billion in the reductions of the rate of growth makes me a bad guy than so be it.What people should and hopefully are soon realizing is that the federal Debt is almost nothing compared to what the state and local debt is ,and this is from both the so called republicans who profess to be for less government and the dems who say they want to protect the middle class. It is all BS and that is a fact.

When a NY state trooper can retire at the age of 45 with 75k a year plus health insurance for life with out paying taxes on that income and get inflation adjustments the system is broken down. They are nothing but tax collectors with guns doing the bidding of the politicians who use the money they earn to buy more votes.

Rush is nothing but a lap dog for the bushes and even though he is a phony he has realized in order to stay on the radio he had to confront the truth and stop giving bush and rove cover for pulling the wool over the eyes of the people.Bush might have meant well ,but as we all know good intentions have bankrupted the USA .

As a independent ( which by the way Rush denigrated for years but has now seen the light for monetary reasons) I ask you what is your plan tay to help this country get back on a sound footing. If it legalizing pot I am all in.Stop financing 100 k a year cop jobs and their fat pensions for the sake of the public.Wake up people ,for we need to save what freedom we have left.
