What "check?". If you mean cutting MEDICARE that's not at all true.

...I don't understand "check." This is twice I have heard this.

Veterans’ Jobs Bill Blocked in the Senate By Republicans

Veterans’ Jobs Bill Blocked in the Senate
By JENNIFER STEINHAUER
Eager to shoot down President Obama’s legislative agenda just weeks
before the election, Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked a measure
that would have provided $1 billion over five years to help veterans
find work in their communities.

The measure, which would have potentially created jobs for up to
20,000 veterans, was blocked on a procedural point by Republicans, who
argued that the bill was unpaid for. Senator Patty Murray, a
Washington Democrat and the bill’s main sponsor, said the bill would
have covered the costs in part with fees on Medicare providers and
suppliers who are delinquent on their tax bills.

The procedural vote was 58 to 40; 60 votes would have been required to
waive Republican objections.

The bill was opposed, by, among others, Senator Tom Coburn, Republican
of Oklahoma, who said he believed the bill duplicated existing job
programs for veterans that are not well run, and Senator Rand Paul,
Republican of Kentucky, who has been seeking amendments on bills that
would cut off funding to Egypt and to Pakistan until Pakistan freed
Shakil Afridi, the doctor who helped the United States find Osama bin
Laden.

“It’s both shocking and shameful that Republicans today chose to kill
a bill to put America’s veterans back to work,” Ms. Murray said in a
statement.

“At a time when one in four young veterans are unemployed,” she said,
“Republicans should have been able, for just this once, to put aside
the politics of obstruction and to help these men and women provide
for their families.”

She added that the vote was “stark reminder” that Mitch McConnell,
Senate minority leader from Kentucky, and Senate Republicans “are
willing to do absolutely anything to fulfill the pledge he made nearly
two years ago to defeat President Obama. It doesn’t matter who gets in
their way or which Americans they have to sacrifice in that pursuit,
even if it’s our nation’s veterans.”

Some Republicans, five of whom voted for the bill, also seemed
disappointed about the failure of legislation that had the veneer of
bipartisan support.“These men and women have worn our uniform,
shouldered the burden and faced unthinkable dangers in forward areas
during a very dangerous time,” Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said.

Don't care for Obama but it boils down to the fact that if you are rich or upper upper income then vote Romney. Poor and middle class have no choice but Obama. I could prove this point but it would take volumes so just take my word for it.

Also if you are like some voters on youtube under "stupid Obama voters" then join them. In Columbus a local new personality took to the streets with Mic in hand and interviewed up to 20 voters and 5 were dumb white voters. Question: Do you know John McCain (all were Obama voters) is now in prison? All had heard that but none knew the reason. Question: Will Paul Ryan help Obama as his Vice President running mate? All said yes Ryan is a good choice. Question: Will it help Obama being against same sex marriage? All said surely would help Obama because they were also against same sex marriage. What percentage of vote would Sara Palin get against Obama this time in 2012? They all said from 10-20%. But when question was asked about a silly subject all 100% got right answer. Who got paid for up to $100,000 to buy clothes by their national party. They answered correctly Sara Palin. This they heard on "The View" or some late night shows. So it is easy to understand why Obama likes to appeal to dumb voters as guest on these TV TALK SHOWS, HERE HE CAN REACH 80% OF HIS VOTERS.

They can find same dumb voters in Floyd County. I think Obama will also beat Palin good in this 2012 election.

Romney-Ryan are losers! Polls are clearly in favor of the President. Smart/Dumb doesn't matter; Romney is a robot controlled by the tea party. Alone, as himself, he may have had a chance!

I am sorry but Obama supporters are idiots. All this rich poor crap. This guy is just doing anything to get re-elected. If you are a victim it is your damn fault. Get some balls and get out and make your way. These must be the kids that didn't keep score. The world is a competitive place ....grow up.
My prediction on the debate tonight. Obama needs support from Women voters. Today is his anniversary. I bet he uses this as a distraction. Watch he will say something sweet to his wife and everybody will say awwwww. Smart people won't fall for it. But the idiots will forget everything bad and say, what a nice man. Why can't you be like that honey. LOL.
You guys need the bar lowered because you feel inadequate and too pitiful to compete with the rest of the world.

Sorry your mother was so sorry! Reality checks are not what you really want...LOL! Go back to sleep!

Obama did look bad in the debate. He appeared overwhelmed and frustrated. The moderator sucked big time. He couldn't control either of the debators.

Romney's personality as a bully came through very clearly. I could actually see him holding the President down and cutting his hair off as he did in high school to another student. He was pushy, telling his lies without flinching. It does take a certain type of person to lie without feeling a thing! Getting rid of Big Bird is not an excellent idea for Romney considering his own entitlements cost so much more.

Oh well, check the facts. Obama fudged and Romney lied!

Yeah, it is scary. I expected to see two people that knew the topic just different views. But it appeared like Obama was clueless. Suprised me. It was embarassing.

I noticed when the President would get cornered he would just say some wierd sad anecdote to support him.

To the Obama supporter that keeps posting. You are not helping his case. It does seem like you are wanting a mom more than a pres. You are very emotional about it. Don't get mad and take it personal.
