Make it profitable for corporations to bring the manufacturing home. Downsize the IRS and simplify taxes...flat across the board. End duplicated government entitlement programs. Use domestic energy (coal, oil, nat gas etc). Stop sticking our military where it isn't needed or wanted. Marijuana can be a flourishing industry, creating another tax base, just as alcohol became when prohibition ended. Seems pretty simple to me. Rectify the problems instead of petty, divisive non-existent issues.<quoted text>
ya know, there has to be some socialism in this country with all the people who fall below the poverty line. I am not a socialist and i do believe capitalism is the best way. Problem is, Companies like Wal-Mart have figured out how to use Capitalism/Socialism and win twice. Smart people at Wal-mart. They depend on the poor. Not many rich people walking around wearing wal-mart sweaters. Not to mention all the money they make from our food stamps. They employ people at minimum wage and keep them just under enough hours to be considered full time. They encourage employees to get their health benefits from medical cards. They get tax breaks for employing single welfare mothers. All the while their merchandise is manufactured in Chinese sweat shops at cheap labor so we can buy their junk at a cheap price. Wal-mart wins. Capitalism at its finest while they Corporate bosses sit in their mansions and pent house apartments laughing at the drogues of poor people making them rich. You can have a country that is survival of the fittest. Why not elect a King...then he can have his nobles, and the poor can get whatever scraps the rich decide to toss out on their own free will. You cant create labor jobs when there's no labor needed. we have too many people and not enough sources of real wage labor. A family of 4 cannot survive on a minimum wage job. Its economically impossible. Not everyone is college material. So Answer one question to all the middle class and above who just don't give a crap. What do we do with the poor? This is not the middle ages people.
