Ranger!!

I spent 5 years in. As far as I'm concerned none of us fought for our personal freedom. That's just a feel good line imho. It don't pay any bills, any house notes or put food on anyones table. It doesn't bring anyone back or replace anyone's limbs. Best of all, it doesn't cost anything to say. I know all about the so called coveted benefits of serving. Haven't collected a dam thing yet all these years later. Well, I did buy a house on the GI Bill. Could've done that anyway.

Think about it though. When was the last time we were actually in any danger of being invaded. That's about the only way anyone could actually threaten our meager freedom. It was Japan at Pearl Harbor. Before that it was Hitler. Everything after that in some form or fashion gave someone, somewhere a profit. Our military is the most under appreciated and most condescended of any U.S. organization we have and those who volunteer don't know it until to late. If someone wants to make a career out of it, cool, but those of you who do should have figured out what the score is. There's no promise of who the C.I.C is going to be or his politics. Sooner or later you're going to get shot at, see your buds die and maybe die yourself. You've probably already seen it same as I have, but you're gonna see kids in pieces. And for what? It sure has nothing to do with my freedoms or rights I'll wager. More than likely it's politics or cash in some fashion. And all anyone will get out of any of it is maybe a flag and more condescending words.

Btw, when I was serving, we all cussed our C.I.C and had a deep hatred of politico's also.[What really irked me face to face were butter bars]

Master Bayts, you sound so angry. You keep trying to push Obama on us, but people are begining to educate themselves regarding politics. They are aware of the fact that Obama and his crew have been caught lieing about the attack in Libya.Nobody wants a dishonest Socalist for President. Hillary is not going to take the blame for this one for Obama. The Obama administration is falling apart and all Obama can do is cry about Big Bird!!!

Mitt Romney was on the board of a company fined $119 million for Medicare Fraud at the time, the largest criminal fine for Health Care Fraud in US history. He still walked away with a $470k personal profit from that corrupt company.

Angry? Not really. More like frustrated that such a group of people choose to remian uninformed and grasp at straws to condemn someone, regardless of whether or not he's our President. Obama didn't lie about anything in Libya. He trusted those under him to tell him the truth, much like anyone else in a position of authority. Each and everyone of you doing the condemning expect him to be omniscient. He isn't. There is no way one person and single handedly be the person in control of each and every department the Government is comprised of. That's why we have people with title such as Head of State, FBI directors, CIA directors, Generals, Admirals, Head of the Navy etc. That's their job, not Obama's. Yes, the all answer to Obama along with answering to the Senate and Congress. But the job is theres and they answer for it. Yet each of you is condemning him for things that happened before he even took office as well as things that have transpired since even though since he has been in office, each of you look with a blind eye that his hands have been tied since he's been in office.

Whether each of you are looking with a blind eye due to ignorance, hatred or refuse to admit you may have been wrong I dunno. I just know that you are.

I don't support Obama because he's my hero. In fact, I really didn't even support him at all until I started reading these threads and decided to check things for myself, which obviously many of you didn't do for yourself.

Thx to the false statements made here on Topix, I've found the only person I would never vote for is Mr. Romney. Not when he has to outright lie to everyone to even make himself look remotely good. What is surprising is so many believe those lies because they don't have what it takes to go check his statements for themselves.

I would so hate to be someone accused of a serious crime and be innocent with so many of you on my jury.

What's really disgusting, many of you are claiming to be Christians yet are being swayed with easily proven lies.

I'll assume you haven't actually read any of the threads you yourself have posted in. How many times to do the facts have to be shown to you? Why even bother to show them to you when you obviously choose to ignore and refute them.

Duno where I heard or read a line but it went like this: Those who choose to remain uneducated tend to believe whatever they are told. Those who choose to remain educated, tend to ask a lot of questions.

I think there's a lot of obvious truth in that statement.

An even better line is : You can lead a sheep to knowledge but, you can't make them think. The "facts"you present are just more Dem lies. you just proved my point, when a Dem is wrong they attack and lie. I watch the news streaming into the office where I work. I watch all the news chanels and I am very careful to verify all info presented to me. I do not believe everything I hear. I have been watching the investigations into the Lybian debacle and I have heard people under oath say that Obama knew the attack on our embassy was a terrorist attack and yet he continues to say it was because of the video. I just saw an interview with Pat Smith, the Mother of one of the men killed in Lybia, and she said that Obama and Leon Panetta both lied to her. She said she would not believe anything they say. How could anyone vote for a liar for President who is bringing a lunatick who laughs maniaclly at a serious debate along with him. EVen if Biden thought Ryan was wrong, why on earth would he go on national t.v. and act like he did? In my opinion Biden be the last man to be one heart beat away from being President.

Here is another good line for you If a man has an argument with a fool, the fool laughs and laughs and there is no peace. Proverbs 29:9. I voted for Obama. I truly wanted him to succeed because I was so proud of America for electing the first black president. Obama just can't do the job. he is in way over his head and he is resorting to lieing to cover up for his ineptness. Hillary is starting to speak out. I hope all the lies, not just the Lybian one, are exposed before the election. Still, there will be gullible people like you who will just blindly vote Democrat without educating yourselves about the issues. Sorry . but your vote affects all of us.

a vote for romney is a vote for the wealthy..with the exception of franklin roosevelt i don't think any president has went into office with the country in the shape it was when obama went into office..no president can put this country back into the shape it should be in in a four year term..george bush totaly tore this country upside down in eight years so hows obama going to fix eight years of bush's doings in four years and remember bush stole the first election with a little help from the govenor of florida and lo and behold it just happened to be his brother..america don't need a republican in the white house,we need a president who is for the working class people, not the wealthy..a vote for romney is a vote for bush..oh and one other thing, normaly when the parties hold their conventions and their is a living president from that party they are asked to deliver a speech..bill clinton gave a speech at the democrat convention but strangely george bush wasn't asked to deliver one at the republican convention..you don't suppose the republicans dot want the american public reminded of the shape bush got this country in do you..obama all the way..

To the contrary, your own post proves my point. You havn't dug into anything. You've repeated a sad line that has been repeated many times. Dems are all liars. Saying it's so doesn't make it so. Names, timelines, dates, actual recordings are available for all, yet you and so many more are so willing to believe what you're TOLD. I challange you to come up with just one verifiable link that is based on indisputable facts that Obama is soley responsible for our current debt. I further challange you to come up with a link, same criteria, that states he's a Muslim and hates this country. Show me any proof whatsoever that he isn't an American born citizen. Show me how he's soley responsible for our current job market or it's his fault gasoline is so high. So far all you've supplied are lines from biased sources. The reason that is, is because there is nothing whatsoever, anywher that supports the hogwash being floated around. At the most, what you'll find are things taken out of context. All that proves is, someone is twisting the facts which makes them a liar.

Btw, I'm not gifted with an abundance of intelligence. The other statements made by those debating me are making me appear so. Anyone can come up with the same conclusions based on the same facts as I've done. It's called questioning authority and thinking for yourself.

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. ― Aldous Huxley

You are STILL taking the so called facts you're hearing about. I say so called because all of the Obama "facts" are end results with the actions that brought about these end results omitted. The State Department is responsible for security at the Embassy. The rules that govern the State Department have to also clear Congress before they can be enacted. Congress is under Republican control. Congress approved a military draw down in Libya. A REPUBLICAN Congress. The Embassy was guarded by an equal number of Americans and Libyans. The Embassy had asked repeatedly for more security but was denied by the State department due to the planned withdrawel approved by the REPUBLICAN Congress. Are you saying it isn't permissable for Obama to not foresee an unprecedented attack but OK for the REPUBLICAN Congress to do so? Btw, all Obama and Congress or anyone else knows about what happened over there is what they're told. If they were told it was because of some stupid video on youtube, then that's all they know. You and so many others have set a bar so high for Obama or anyone to leap over that they would have to rent the space shuttle just to see the dammed thing.

My job requires me to check facts. Obama set the bar himself when he promised so much. OMG!!!! have you listened to any of the investigation into the Lybian debacle? Ok, in your eyes Obama hasn't lived up to the bargain regardless of the circumstances. So tell me what Romney's plans are. Personally, I dunno. On one hand he plans on dismantling Obamacare but he hasn't offered anything up to help those hundreds of thousands who would then be back to nothing. He plans on giving vouchers for those on medicaid, which would have medicaid bankrupt before his term even ends. We might go to war with China and Russia but we might not. He flops around to much there. He's going to cut taxes even more since that plan has worked out so well so far but independent economists admit it's impossible to not create an even larger debt by doing so. He wants to stop borrowing [and so do I] but he also wants to cut the cash flow by lowering taxes. He's for abortion but he isn't. Coal is our enemy but he's going to save it. He's going to lower the price of gas even though the people who own the oil are privately owned corps. Somehow he's going to create jobs but the people should accept responsibility for their own predicaments. Even though he's going to slow the cash flow he's still going to create jobs. Then again, Ryan has voted against the last three jobs bills in Congress. Based on your "research" you're convinced Obama is a failure. That's cool. It's your right. Based on FACTS, Romney and Paul are little more than power hungry sociopaths. This bs the repubs have pulled to date already have this nation at the point we're shooting at one another over who is right and wrong. Blame Obama for that also if you wish. Point in fact, if research was done AWAY from the friggin tv, the only thing he's guilty of is being a Dem of color.

Question my intelligence all you wish m'dear, but another point in fact is the so called facts you're offering up are little more than more rhetoric and I'll match you tit for tat on verifiable links to any anti Obama facts you provide.

O.K. Bayt we all get on here and vent. Sometimes we get carried away and say things we really don't mean. You are obviously a very intelegent man .
