Romney really doesn't stand a chance. If you look at the polls of likely voters it is close but Obama has a lead. The only things the campaigns are for are the 4-6% of undecided voters.

Think about that. 4-6% of people don't have enough political knowledge to know who they are voting for. In this era of 24/7 punditry, constant political blogging, and constant campaigning these folks don't know who they support. REALLY?

Do you have any idea how vapid and brainless you have to be in this day and age to not know which party/candidate more supports your personal ideology?

These people will vote based on a bunch of stupid things.
1. Who looks better on TV. Toss up there. Mitt looks presidential. Matter of fact he looks like he came out of a box marked president! But Obama is not bad looking either and does look good on TV.

2. Which one seems nicer. Obama wins there! Mitt may be a very nice guy and very moral but he seems like stuffed shirt.

3. Whose ads they believe most. Toss up there. Both are dumping insane amounts of cash into advertising.

4. Which one talks better. OBAMA! Hands down. When debate season comes Obama is going to cream Romney. Not because he is right but just because talks better and is more convincing.

The rest of this election is for those people. The people who follow politics are decided. The people who somewhat follow politics are decided. The people who only follow politics very rarely are decided. Only those who don't understand the issues or what the differences are between the candidates will decide the election. God help us all!

This country is in for a RUDE awakening. When Romney-Ryan take back Washington, those who are lazy, on public assistance (who don't REALLY need to be) and those who are here ILLEGALLY will kiss your meal tickets goodbye. We will FINALLY have someone who knows how to run a business, offer and balance a budget and who have good, old fashioned common sense to lead us out of the depths of Hell we have been in since obama took over.

Prosperity for the USA, once again and we are THRILLED that Paul Ryan will be our next VICE PRESIDENT and MITT ROMNEY will be OUR NEXT PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES.

GOD BLESS AMERICA.....GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

Whether or not you believe in Romney/Ryan is irrelevant. This election is slipping away from them more and more every day and they know it. More and more Republicans are distancing themselves from Romney becasue they see the writing on the wall. The debates will seal the deal for them. If, somehow, Romney manages not to look like an out of touch, dishonest, slimy politician during the debates they may reclaim some ground in the States that matter in terms of electoral votes but that is not exactly Romeny's stron suit is it. A great businessman he may be, a great leader he might be, a moral and upstanding man he may be, but a good public speaker he is not! Whatever you think of Obama there is no doubt the guy has a certain amount of charm and an ability to speak to the camera in a way that seems sincere, even if it isn't. He has a level of skill in public speaking that Romney doesn't. You can "feel" what Obama says. Romney just comes off as cold, mechanical, and therefore untrustworthy. I am not judging based on what they say or what they believe. Obama just sells it better! And salemanship is all that matters at this point in the election. Only 4-6% of the population in 5-6 states even matter at this point. The rest of the states are already decided one way or the other and Obama is leading.

In football terms (since politics is more of a full contact spectator sport than anything else these days) Romney is playing defense. He has very little time on the clock. Obama has the ball and is closing in on the endzone where Obama's team is particularly good. They are playing in Obama's Stadium. Meanwhile the defensive line (Republican Party) isn't really playing hard anymore and most the Romeny fans are just hoping the game doesn't turn into a rout. All Romney has is the hope that Obama screws up, gives up a turnover with enough time for Romney to gain enough yardage to throw up the hail mary, pray it gets caught, doesn't get intercepted and run back for a game winning touchdown for Obama. And lets face it...Romney has a knack for giving up the turnovers.

I am not syaing Romney can't win...I don't so absolutes...but the game is almost over and Obama has a good lead after a field goals(the bump from the convention) and a huge turn-over (released tape of Romney badmouthing nearly 1/2 of all Americans). It doesn't look good for team Romney, but who knows, they may be able to pull off a fourth quarter miracle. We will see.

Mindless, you are correct about one thing: Your name and your senseless drivel. YOU need to face facts and that is this: The election is NOT a foregone conclusion and when Romney/Ryan win and win BIG.....you will have many excuses as to why obummer lost. He can read from a a teleprompter and you are obviously looking at him through the proverbial "rose colored glasses." He is neither truthful or believable and even the meekest and most uneducated see that in him. And, of course, the media loves to only take bits and pieces of what he says and politicize it to his advantage. Sorry, but this American, and millions of others, will not put up with obummer's lies and deceit any longer.

And, since you seem to feel the need to put this in football terminology......here's one for you: The team who scores the MOST points when the horn sounds on November 6th wins...and, THAT will be the team of ROMNEY.RYAN. You should know that, if you have ever watched any football games in your life. We SHALL see and when the BEST TEAM wins, you will just have to eat your words and than GOD ALMIGHTY that we can get this country out of the hands of those who wish for our demise and into the hands of those who know how to CORRECTLY run a country, for the good of ALL.

I will take math and statistics over belief and faith any day. I guess we will see whose method of judging likely outcomes of future events is more accurate on November 6th.

Is it senseless drivel or is it a person who is knowledgeable about politics, the way we elect people, and the way in which most people make ecisions about who they vote for telling you things you don't like to here. I yu go back and re-read my post I don't stick u for Obama or down romeny for their policies or their beliefs. You know why? Because the types of voters left who ae undecided are not issues and policies voters. The people who are left undecided and who will vote vote based on appearances, they vote based on perceptions, they vote based on who they like better.

Clinton V Bush - Clinton was younger cooler and better on TV. Clinton Won!

Clinton V Dole - Clinton was younger cooler and better on TV. Clinton Won!

Gore V Bush - Gore was dull and boring. Bush Won!

Bush V Kerry - Kerry was dull and boring. Bush Won!

Obama V McCain - Obama was younger cooler and much better on TV. Obama won!

The election is not going to be decided by policy issues. It is going to be decided on which guy is cooler, which one looks better on TV. And tht is Obama. Mitt has th same problem every losing candidate in the last 5 elections has had. He is dull, h is boring, and he doesn't connect with people on TV. Sorry hun. I know you want him to win and maybe it would be fairer i he won...but the truth is he is going to lose because we don't elect the guy best for the job..we elect the guy who is best on TV.

You are right about Romney winning the debate. But he may have lost the war. In order to win the debate Romney had to pivot to the center and embrace a much more populist message. That is not going to sit well with his far right wing which already doen't trust or like the guy. Remember how far right he went during the primaries to secure the nomination...well in the debate he abandoned those far right ideologies to try to secure the election. He went all "etch-a-sketch" in the debate to the point where he is going to lose the excitement and passsion of his right wingers. They aren't going to vote for Obama, that isn't the fear, they just aren't going to vote. They aren't going to see much difference between the two candidates. Obama may have lost the debate but he did what needed to be done to win the election. He laid back and just keep feeding Romney the rope for him to hang himself with. The polls haven't moved significantly and Obama is still leading in every state that matters. The only thing Obama could have done in the debate was screw up and lose the election for himself. Instead he kept his peace and let Romney run hoping he would do something stupid. Romney played well and avoided an major mistakes but Obama did the right thing in not going after him. Romeny probably alienated some of his right wing and that in itself may cost Romney the entire ball of wax.
