Well, I just looked at Mitt Romney's campaign site and he must want to change our flag into a red, white and blue striped R.

The imaginary boogey man president the voices in your head are warning you about.

Well, he is a very bad Muslim because pretending to be a Christian would bring him a death sentence in most Muslim predominating countries.

I guess you also thought the same of Nancy Reagan who thought she was smart enough to tell your kids not to do drugs, or thought Laura Bush must have thought she was smart for telling parents to read to their kids. News Flash: First ladies have historically chosen causes to promote while their husbands are in office. If she hadn't picked something, like childhood obesity, you people would be calling her lazy.
As for her being smart, she did go to Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and pass the bar. Where did you go to college and when did you pass the bar?
<quoted text>
As I put in another thread Obama has had less vacation days than George W. Bush, even less vacations than your apostle Ronnie Raygun. Taxpayer money can't be used for campaigning.
<quoted text>
Unlike Romney and his Bain Capital friends who never met a worker they didn't want to lay off or saw as anything more than a financial liability?
<quoted text>
Yeah, I see that happening only in your paranoid, deluded mind. But if the day comes where I find myself bowing down to kiss Obama's behind every morning, I will consider myself warned.

I think Paul Ryan has great ideals on how to fix some problems in Washington. And that was before the VP pick. Maybe the President should have listen to his ideals, instead of letting Harry Reed run the White House.

What do we do in our personal finances when money gets tight - we stop spending. This country needs to learn that - we are a business. Romney may outsource some jobs - but he does know how to run a business, therefore he will do MUCH better than our current President. Who is going to pay for these past four years? Why should a person making a six figure income pay a higher percentage than someone making $15,000 year? I don't get that - although the folks with a higher income do pay more in taxes, because they have more buying power. Life is hard, and there will always be people who have more than others, however under our current administration we have made it to easy for people to stay home and not work. Why should someone who does not work have as nice of things as someone who works long hard hours? Really people - that is like saying that we should all be lucky enough to be born beautiful and never have to watch our weight.

I am a republican and I don't like Ryan, nor Romney for that matter!

Remember when John Kerry was a "flip flopper"?
Romney is the biggest flip flopper ever foisted upon the public by the puppet masters. Each successive republican candidate since Bush Jr is a kind of one question IQ test for the republican base. Paul Ryan is the tea bag meat for the knuckle dragging fools that comprise most of the republican electorate now.
Paul Ryan is the Sarah Palin of an unexciting candidate. While McCain had some promising features and may truly be one of the last "real" Goldwater style Conservstives, Romney is a horrible horrible candidate. There are hundreds of hours of Romney saying "liberal" things in favor of government health care, abortion etc. then he magically turns into "I was for it before I was against it" republican guy.
Paul Ryan is like Stacey Campfield or any hack host on fox for that matter.
He is the new breed that knows that our state school systems have been pinching off mouth breathers for a couple generations now and that the winning formula is simply TALKING like a puritanical crypto-fascist to please the anger fed and confused voting bots that put these people in power.
Romney and Ryan are bookend examples of the wrong type of politicians. Romney is the daddy's money "acquisitions and mergers" guy who squeezes profit out of the rusting remnants of american production and labor jobs by scrapping, dismantling and outsourcing middle class jobs in favor of maximizing shareholder profit (and make no mistake about it, Romney is a textbook shareholder).
Ryan is the greasy 2 piece suit vacuum cleaner salesman trying his skills on Dow eyed house wives.
He knows the rap and knows which songs in the hymnal get the congregation riled up. He knows the play and the play book from which fame and political success flow. Ryan, like Beck and Hannity, figured out that one can make a killing taking the low road.
THESE PEOPLE ARE JUDAS GOATS.
America (and most Americans) is terrifying, embarrassing, maddening and hilarious all at the same time.
The conservative movement in this country and like most others, is an absolute sham.
These people make MILLIONS telling dupes and rubes that they will have to get by with less.
At the end of the day, conservatives are "anti-evolution". They are a deadended, non-forking branch of human evolution. They have been injected with malignant levels of fear and hate and have obediently moved to the proper strategic location that best benefits their handlers.
They oppose "change" and "progress" by the mere "doublespeak" redefining of the words. They are unnatural and misguided at best, dangerous And dormant at worst.
Human systems are fallible. They are built like a ship being built at sea. They REQUIRE evolution to sustain their functions. We have a PEOPLE problem, not a government problem.

4 Simple Questions

1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.' So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is "African-American" when the term wasn't even used at that time?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 & lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right ? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in " Kenya , East Africa ." This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except for the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist ? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya_ ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya )

3. On the Birth Certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital." This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home," respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978? http://http://www.kapiolani.or g/women-and-children/about-us/ default.aspx
( http://www.kapiolani.org/women-and-children/a... )

Why hasn't this been discussed in the major media ?

4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama’s book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I'm not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama’s “birth certificate” says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when he was born. That should have put his father’s date of birth approximately 1936—if my math holds (Honest! I did that without a calculator!!!) Now we need a non-revised history book—one that hasn't been altered to satisfy the author’s goals—to verify that WW II was basically between 1939 and 1945. Just how many 3 year olds fight in wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn't have been more than 9. Does that mean that Mr. Obama is a liar, or simply chooses to alter the facts to satisfy his imagination or political purposes (still qualifies as a “liar”)?

The Obambam lovers are not going to read the facts. They are all in denial, with their hands over their eyes and ears. Their only concern is, "what can I get for free".

Or maybe it is the Obama haters that are not going to read facts and will believe anything they are told that reinforces their preconceived stereotype.

1). Nowhere on Barack Obama's birth certificate does the term "African-American" appear. The space for "Race of Father" is filled in with the word "African," which at the time was a descriptor that blacks who were actually native-born Africans (like Barack Obama's father was) were more likely to use for themselves than "negro" (the latter being synonymous with "slave" in Euro-colonial countries such as Kenya).

2). In 1895 the British Empire established the East Africa Protectorate, the forerunner of the country now known as the republic of Kenya. Although Kenya did not achieve complete independence from the United Kingdom until 1963, it was known as the Kenya Colony from 1920 onwards and was typically referred to as Kenya long before 1963. A search of news reports from 1961 (the year of Barack Obama's birth) turns up hundreds and hundreds of news articles referencing that entity simply as "Kenya."

3). The former Kapi'olani Maternity Home became the Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (where Barack Obama was born) in 1931, and it retained that appellation until 1971, when its name was shortened to Kapi'olani Hospital. The Kauikeolani Children's Hospital (where Barack Obama was not born) was a separate entity which merged with the Kapi'olani Hospital in 1978 to become the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children.

4). Its from a speech, not his book. The man who helped raise him from the age of 10, his grandfather Stanley Dunham, served as a sergeant in Europe during WWII. He was referring to him, either affectionately because he thinks of him that way, or because he meant to say "grandfather" and mispoke. Big damn deal.
