You have be sipping too much of the lefts BS on Romney and his Medicare plan. He is actually trying to save it and restore the Millions of $$$ Obama(tax)care will skim off and put into Obama(tax)care.

Mitt’s plan honors commitments to current seniors while giving the next generation an improved program that offers the freedom to choose what their coverage under Medicare should look like. Instead of paying providers directly for medical services, the government’s role will be to help future seniors pay for an insurance option that provides coverage at least as good as today’s Medicare, and to offer traditional Medicare as one of the insurance options that seniors can choose. With insurers competing against each other to provide the best value to customers, efficiency and quality will improve and costs will decline. Seniors will be allowed to keep the savings from less expensive options or choose to pay more for costlier plans.

Key Elements of Mitt’s Plan

•Nothing changes for current seniors or those nearing retirement
•Medicare is reformed as a premium support system, meaning that existing spending is repackaged as a fixed-amount benefit to each senior that he or she can use to purchase an insurance plan
•All insurance plans must offer coverage at least comparable to what Medicare provides today
•If seniors choose more expensive plans, they will have to pay the difference between the support amount and the premium price; if they choose less expensive plans, they can use any leftover support to pay other medical expenses like co-pays and deductibles
•“Traditional” fee-for-service Medicare will be offered by the government as an insurance plan, meaning that seniors can purchase that form of coverage if they prefer it; however, if it costs the government more to provide that service than it costs private plans to offer their versions, then the premiums charged by the government will have to be higher and seniors will have to pay the difference to enroll in the traditional Medicare option
•Lower income seniors will receive more generous support to ensure that they can afford coverage; wealthier seniors will receive less support
•Competition among plans to provide high quality service while charging low premiums will hold costs down while also improving the quality of coverage enjoyed by seniors

Ryan said he didn't know he was signing letters to approve stimulus. 5 letters. He's either lying or completely inept. But then again, I don't care about a VP & I don't think anyone else does either. I find it interesting that the republicans for the last 2 years have had to pick some flashy VP nominee to take the negative attention away from their pathetic presidential nominee. Deflect deflect deflect.

Talk about deflect deflect deflect. All Obama can talk about is Romney's tax returns. He won't dare discuss his pathetic record as President.

What's pathetic exactly? The conservatives blocking every initiative & basically saying they will not approve anything that comes their way? I agree, that is pathetic. Also pathetic is Romney's whining about negativity. Is that not what we've heard toward Obama since the very day he took office? The vitriole spewed at him is peanuts compared to Obama's ads. It's about time Obama quit being the nice guy, the conservatives don't deserve it.

Ryan can't be trusted, He "forgets" to claim millions in inheritance on his taxes a few years ago. How does that happen?

lololololol is obviously the result of inbreeding. Birth certificate – get off that one! It’s a myth, but Romney’s tax returns (or lack of them) is not. And Ryan’s “Hide the millions” should really have people worried!

It’s not jealousy, it’s anger!......At the greed of corporate royalty. People born into money that have their entire college educations paid for – even if they suck. Then they are thrust into big time jobs because of who they know, or who they’re related to. Give any of us the same opportunity, and we will outperform them 10 fold. They are cheating America - with the current upper classes attempt to keep the rest of us poor, and shorten our life span, but limiting our healthcare controlled by insurance companies.

you are right in a way that people born into money get good jobs or get help,(not that big of a percent ) but hey everything i save is for my kids dont care what anyone says, its not theres and only my kid is getting what i leave, now what my kid does is another story, but the money is his regardless but all i know is i been at my job since i got out of school 25 years already, worked my way up and have another 25 to go. worked 2 job at one time and stuff on the side to get by while i went back to school ect didnt take from knowone, and worked hard now i wish most people who bitch about things did just as much or somewhat the same if you know what I am saying (people are lazy but expect everything but dont want to admit it) some
