Let's us pray the Mormon leadership gets a little religion and learns their legal jurisdiction and repents of unethical and/or illegal behavior. The more transparent and honest they are, the more real respect they will have.

And that will do exactly what for you?

Goodbye Medicare. It'll be a great day for the very, very rich (who will get another tax cut--further enlarging the budget deficit) and for the very, very large corporations (who will be even freer to ship jobs and their money overseas).

I can't wait to start personally subsidizing my elderly parents' medicare co-pays (which will increase by thousands of dollars a year).

But at least we'll have that dirty N-word out of the White House.As for Ryan and Romney, you could put their hearts in a thimble and they'd rattle around like 2 bb's in a boxcar.

Yes we need a CHANGE in the White House!

We can't afford 4 more years of BIG spending.

We need to get our credit rating back up and we need to keep our military strong.

Ho hum. Same old line of misleading the voters in thinking they have a choice. There is a choice of which elite scumbag you want to rule you.

The eagle is the US symbol. It has two wings--the right wing and the left wing (Republican and Democrat). But both wings of the same bird.

If "Romley" is elected, the 100 year or so agenda will continue--more spending, more bail-outs, more aggression, more forcing "democracy" (winning the hearts and minds), and more government in your face.

No more jobs, and no more "getting the economy moving".

The lesser of two evils is still evil. Four years of Obamanomics definitely has not worked. It now looks like we are going to have to crash and rise from the ashes. I just don't see why it is so hard to understand that a person or a nation can only live to the level it produces.

Thank you Lobo.

Apparently the US must crash before it dawns on the general populace that the present system will no longer work as it did in the past. But even then, most of the people will be unable or even unwilling to admit that they've been scammed. I fear that we will be unable to "rise from the ashes". The phrase "Cognitive Disonance" may apply here because the evidence indicates that the alternative news media and the "conspiracy nuts" may be right, but we fear letting go of the traditional main-stream beliefs. What would your family and friends think of you if you questioned the spin about 9/11, or the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions?

We can live only to the level of our knowledge and efforts. We want well-paying jobs with lavish fringe benefits, an expanding economy, government paid or subsidized health care, clean air and water, free schooling, and countless other goodies from the government. But instead of holding our rulers' feet to the fire, demanding accountibility, and keeping "eternal vigilance", we've been deluded into thinking that by voting occasionally for some charismatic figure, all will be OK.

How are "Hope and Change" working for you? McCain would have been just as bad if not worse than "Obamy". If it's "Anyone but Obama" in 2012, will it be "Anyone but Romney" in 2016?

I'm still waiting for the possible big event around Dec. 21, 2012. Maybe nothing will change, or our present political and economic systems will be blown to Hell where they belong. Let's just keep doing the same thing and believing the same lies. Maybe the results will be different.

I guarantee that you will have 4 more years of the same crap regardless of whom is elected. Generally a nation will get the kind of governement it deserves. One of my acquaintances claimed that if more people voted, it would make a difference. The only difference may be one thug being elected over the other thug. So my friends, have a happy next four years.

Thanks. Are you referring to this?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'
'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'
'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'
'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years''During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

Alexander Tyler Eight-step cycle of civilizations:
1 From bondage to spiritual faith;
2 From spiritual faith to great courage;
3 From courage to liberty;
4 From liberty to abundance;
5 From abundance to complacency;
6 From complacency to apathy;
7 From apathy to dependence;
8 From dependence back into bondage'

We are about 7 right now rapidly heading to 8. Romney got blasted with his 47% paying no income taxes. I blows my mind with these recent surveys of the apathy and complete ignorance of potential voters on the street. And, their vote counts the same as mine.

How did the US get in this shape? It appears to me that we are headed into total bondage, and it seems that we can't stop what appears to be inevitible. Based on my self-education over the past 30 years or so, I suggest that our decline was planned by a group or force we call the ruling Elite. There are things that have been going on for many years which most people are totally unaware of. But their ignorance is not their fault. By "ignorance", I mean simply not knowing; I'm not implying stupidity.

I am still convinced that we are schooled to be ignorant by "free public education". Many educators will support this view. Most of one's beliefs are determined in the early years. "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree". I've heard of a member of the Catholic clergy say,"Give me the first 7 years of a child's life, and he will be my captive the rest of his life"--or words to that effect. If we turn over the training of the youth to the state, we can only expect the kids to be willing subjects to the state. The kids are taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think.

Consider the 47%. They pay no income tax because of being in the low income class. Accordingly, this group couldn't care less about taxes and government spending. I suggest this group will vote for the candidates who promise more goodies from the public trough as it will cost them nothing.

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and will never be"--Thomas Jefferson

I believe that the reason some people don't vote is because they realize that there really is no choice. Both opposing candidates are owned, controlled, and financed by the same cabal. No matter whom is elected, the agenda continues. The winner could already be determined before the votes are counted.(Bush 2000)

If you wish to learn more, I can direct you to some books, persons, and websites for information that you can consider. As had been mentioned many times, don't believe me or anyone else. Do your own research.

Do you ever contemplate what would emerge if the entitlement movement succeeds in pushing the US over the financial cliff? What group would step up to take control and restructure our nation? I am quite sure it would not be the uneducated ignorant entitlement masses. The potential for huge splits in the haves and havenots would become a certainy. You only have to look at the 3rd world nations to see what we could become. Better to correct the bent system before it breakes. This is definitely not the Obama plan. Spend now and worry about the future later is not the answer.
