We need oil to run the country. Yes to offshore drilling with proper precautions. No more short cuts like BP took. It's time for near shore and on shore to be allowed. The crazy restrictions imposed by the environmentalists have come back to bite us all.

The oil and auto industry has addicted us to oil and cars like crack. We need to stop using oil and look at other sources...A little sacrifice will go a long way. How did people survive in 1776? We are spoiled, lazy and self-centered to change. Why even ask the question?

You must have missed the part of US History with the Industrial Revolution. By chance you wish to live as they did in 1776, there are plenty of 3rd world hell holes that fit the bill.
Pray tell what "other sources" of energy are there Now that will allows the US to maintain our standard of living?
Talk about sacrifice....just wait til we all do our taxes next year.....unless you do't pay

Ah, but you see, environmentalist whackos advocate a return to the Stone Age as a step on to their ultimate goal of the extinction of homo Sapiens Sapiens.
