I'm for anything that will help lower the price of oil. But there needs to be random inspections done with no warning of when or where it will take place.

I agree with that. The problem always arises with big oil waving their money around and the inspectors would be bought off in no time.

I propose that "the jerk" be appointed as big oil inspector.

Yes I support oil drilling. The Government was lax in thier inspection in this case but, why do liberals not want us to lower our dependence on foriegn oil. Recently Obama stopped all new oil drilling, took 21 mining permits from the KY coal industry. Since 1975 there have not been one nuclear power plant built because of the tree hugging wacko liberals. I wonder sometimes if the communists or the people of the USA run this country.

To drive, or not to drive. That is the question... because that is what your answer here basically means. If we cut all offshore drilling our oil demand would skyrocket and there goes driving to work for most... oh wait I almost said most people but most people are drawing government checks. WTF am I thinking. LOL

With proper precautions, having an emergency backup plan, and strict regulations and inspections, offshore drilling could be a great thing. But this shouldn't be taken lightly the companies and countries that they are based out of should be well prepared and held responsible for every drop.

I am okay with drilling anywhere. However I think we need to start looking at hemp as an alternative fuel source and a great resource for the farmers in Kentucky. When the lobbying by big oil stops the progress of alternative fuel sources and creates an unfair monopoly on the market then we all suffer with higher energy costs.
