We as a nation require all hydrocarbon resources to decrease our dependance on forgien oil until non-petrolium sources of energy can be developed and come to be utilized. This should be accomplished in the most safe condition our technology can provide.

Untill alternative sources of energy are found, the people that appose off shore drilling should live with out, fuel for there cars,no electricity for there homes which will get mighty hot and cold and no way to neutralize temperatures, take a few cold showers during the winter, let there kids walk to school and after school functions, and stop all trucks trains planes from bringing food to the masses, and many more items that human beings need, last but not least, we will take away all equipment the Armed Forces need to protect our country, than may be all you "Greenies" will be happy.

The oil and gas doesn't do anyone any good just sitting in the ground. All I want is tough Government oversite of drilling operations to minimize the chance of another Gulf oil spill.
