most of the people in the demonstration have been handed everything they want all of their life, now they have to work for what they need and they don't like it

I see young, middle-aged, and senior citizens concerned for their future The young are mad because college debt and the only job they can find is part time at McDonalds. The Middle-aged are mad because their jobs have been sold overseas, health benefits taken away Now they work a second job at Mcdonalds to make ends meet. Seniors are being threatened that their medicaid and social security is going to be cut. And they all want an end to Big Business's influence on Washington. 75% of Americans identify with the movement.

Here is part of the problem, tell them all to check the lables on all of their clothing items. Where were they made? Do they all drive american made cars? Don't tell me that they had no GD choice where their goods were made. That would make you a LIAR!!! Our Christmas alone will up the economy of china by countless millions maybe more. You all started this problem many years ago. DEAL WITH IT. Don't get me started!

you don't have to give anyone your money. OWS wants a chance to work for a fair share.

Obama wants to spread the wealth.

OWS is not affiliated with any political party, socialist or otherwise.

Here is another part of the problem domestic goods are being manufactured overseas under the Made in USA lable.

The left wing idiots are in the White House not willing to bend a little for what is best for the country. Unfortunately the right ain't playing much better.

Obama said "we must spread the wealth"
OWS said "we must separate wealth and power.
Big difference in those two statements.

OWS has never associated itself with Obama's Views or comments.

The mortgage crises was the straw that broke the camels back. This started nearly 30 years ago when Lobbyist convinced Ronald Reagan that moving some manufacturing to Mexico would be good business. Ronald made sure if you were going to move jobs out of the country you were going to pay for it. Corporate tax under the Reagan administration was very high. Well, administration after administration came and went and more and more tax loopholes where created. That made it possible for 30 fortune 500 companies that reported billions in profits but yet got back billions in tax refunds, a negative tax.

The same week OWS started General Motors opened a new $200 million diesel motor plant in Rayong, Thailand.
While all this is going on you have most the 1% hoarding trillions of dollars. OWS is NOT asking them to give the money to the less fortunate. OWS is asking the 1% to spend, invest, build something (the same crud we're told when the markets down) They can get more tax breaks after they create jobs. You got to put wood in the fire to get heat right. If they don't release some currency the government has to fill the vacuum by printing more. Thus lowering the value of the dollar.
They said manufacturing would be replaced by the service industry. They said continue your education we will create jobs in technology. For six years nothing has happened. Small business like myself are trying to pick up the slack but times are getting tighter and tighter.

Respectfully, Joev

Note: the 1% is a pretty exclusive club, Arkasas does not have many members.

SHAME ON YOU PROPAGANDIST

Break down of the Occupy Wall Street people.

Traffic on the Occupy Wall Street site averaged about 400,000 visitors a day during the sample week (October 7th), which represents more than 10% of the population. 1619 people completed the survey.

Age

Not surprising, nearly 2/3 of the protesters are under 35. But one in three is over 35 and one in five is over 45.

Racial/Ethnic background

81.3% of respondents considered themselves White, 1.3% Black\African American, 3.2% Asian,.4% Native American Indian, 2.9% Mixed, 7.7% Hispanic, and 3.2% considered themselves some other group.

Education

Only 7.9% of respondents lack at least some college.

27.4% have some college (but no degree), 35% have a college degree, 8.2% have some graduate school (but no degree), and close to 21.5% have a graduate school degree.

Employment Status

70% of respondents had jobs. 50.4% worked full time. 20.4% worked part time.

Only 13.1% are unemployed.

Income

47.5% of the sample earns less than $24,999 dollars a year and another quarter (24%) earn between $25,000 and $49,999 per year.

71.5% of the sample earns less than $50,000 per year.

15.4% of the sample earned between $50,000 and $74,999.

The remainder 13% of the sample earn over $75,000 with close to 2% earning over $150,000 per year.

Politics

27.3% of respondents considered themselves Democrats, another 2.4% said they were Republican.

Interestingly, a very large proportion of the sample, close to 70.3%, considered themselves Independents.

Cordero-Guzman concluded that the 99% looked like the 99%.

The one way they did significantly differ was in gender. 67% were male. 30.9% were female and 2% preferred another gender designation.

92.5% of the respondents either strongly or somewhat agree with the protests. Over 91.8% believe the movement is likely to grow.

Mountain Home is the best place to be if you want to learn how to make a good fire and cook some great steaks and do other redneck (but useful) things, but book smarts and thinking outside the box are taboo here!

The world is on the cusp of a revolution and you think that's boring? Sorry it's not an Arnold movie.

You sit on your ass, eat fast food and watch American idol, while the world turns.

OWS is doomed to failure when the people see who is actually protesting:

THE REAL OWS 99%ers:

1. Communists and Communist sympathizers who want to overthrow the US Government and destroy Free Enterprise.
2. Anarchists who want to trash the constitution and form a socialist government.
3. Homeless people who are only there to party or cause a disturbance and freeload
4. Paid labor thugs who want to end right to work laws and require union membership for all employees
5. The unemployed and unemployable who value their marketability far above their skills. They want high paying jobs they aren't qualified for.
6. College kids skipping classes having a campout and living off of mama's credit card.(Mama's credit is good because she has a good Wall Street 401K)
7. Assorted potheads, crackheads and dealers
8. The ignorant, the confused and the easily led.
9. People who are mad at banks and the US Government and think their loans should be forgiven forgetting that they signed a legally binding agreement to repay them

If they spent as much time looking for a job as they did protesting, the country would be in better shape!
