Do you identify with the Occupy Wall Street movement?

These losers need to occupy a desk rather than attacking the Capitalist system that made this country great. Capitalism hasn't failed them...they've failed themselves.

F. A. Q.'s and other common Topix comments about the Occupy Movement.
(Everyone. Pay attention to this topix poll results. It is being rigged by propagandist. They are voting in a way that every place is JUST BARELY RED. Very very suspicious. We are onto you propagandist.)
They want something for nothing...
This is not true. The people of the movement come from a wide range of back grounds. The majority are hard working Americans. Remember, real unemployment is about 20%. Living in a society in the 21st century should afford it's citizens with a wide range of safety nets to improve the well being of the citizen. We have the technology and knowledge to help the least amongst us. We have money for wars, but no money to feed the hungry.
The mega Corporations lobby for tax payer subsidies, we have to stop this. These Corporations are the major recipients of welfare in America. The Corporations are really the ones who want something for nothing and have been getting it for 70 years or more.
They are hippies...
There are of course some hippies in the Occupy mix, but they are few and far between. Think, hippies are from the 60's, that was 50 years ago! That would make any real hippies 70-80 years old!
They stink and need baths...
OK, this is so silly. Everyone in America today has access to a shower etc. When there are no other slurs that you can think of. A last resort slur.
They are lazy...
The Occupy people are the only people in America that are standing up against the corruption that we all recognize goes on between Mega Corporations and our elected officials. Many have jobs and go to their local Occupy after they get off work. I know that's what I do. This is the opposite of being lazy.
The Tea Party's main grievance starting out was the Bank Bailouts.
They are communist, socialist, nazi, fascist, anarchist, marxist, radicals, and anti-American nationalists...
Well, which one is it? They can't be all of these things at once. Most of the Occupy people that I know have no idea what half of these things even mean. And I have a suspicion that the name callers don't have any idea what these 19th century 'ism words mean either. These labels have almost 0% relevance in our society.
They have no agenda...
If you say Occupy has no agenda. You haven't been paying attention. There are a million things wrong with the direction that America is headed. If you surf the web you can see many proposals of things to change, some are delusional but others are spot on. We can argue about it. The main purpose of the Occupy movement is to draw attention to how our government is bought out by Mega Corporations. In a Democratic Republic the people are suppose to have complete control. The people have to have control or we can not have liberty, life and we will never have the chance to pursue happiness. Other things to consider are; removal of corporate person hood, removal of money from politics, take profit out of the health care system, and pay closer attention to America's founding documents.
Why not go Occupy DC?
There is an Occupy DC, actually there are almost 1,000 Occupies. Some are not 24 hours, some are.
These cartoons illustrate why some people don't know what Occupy wants, the message is controlled by huge media Corporations. If you have been paying attention, you should know what you see on TV is not real. http://www.bored-todeath.com/uncategorized/be ...
Americans should all want to be participants instead of spectators in their government. This is a long tradition in democracies going all the way back to the Greeks and Romans.
A Patriot is a person that supports the country when it is great, but also points out the wrong things that are going on.
Get out and start your local Occupy. Meet people and have meetings, you don't have to camp out anywhere. Just get out and talk about problems facing our great country.

These people do represent a diversity of opinions for being in the movement; HOWEVER, many have cell phones, food to eat, aka: they need to go to 3rd world countries and really know what suffering/poverty is...

Even people in political offices agree that there is a need for campaign finance reform. It is not "communist" to think that big, rich companies should not be allowed to give money to elected officials to get tax loopholes for themselves. A CEO of a big corporation should not have the right to spend money belonging to the stockholders to sway a political campaign. What about the stockholders who do not agree with him?
We the people need to take back our country and our right to choose the holders of political power.
