Occupy Wall Street/Monterey is getting the message out about the failure of the greedy corporations, banks, and investors who refuse to invest in America and American workers and middle class.
Support the Movement and the Peace movement too. it will grow!!
Time for REAL CHANGE!!

But they're failing to see the government's heavy hand and blame in all of this. Remember who was supposed to have oversight on Fannie Mae? The OWS protesters are petitioning that SAME government to intervene on their behalf. Myopia at its worst!

I support their right to protest, however they should include the clowns in Wasington who have contributed to this financial mess we are in. My perception is that they want to replace capitalism with communisim. That really frightens me..

I don't care if they protest. Some of their perceptions are correct, even if you disagree with their looks and methods. They already managed to get the banks to back off the fee to use their bank cards. And yes, Wall Street was running wild, only to get us to bail them out for the risks they took, We don't get bailed out for bad financial gambles...and yet the head of those Wall Street firms get bonuses??

Nope. Taxing the rich isn't the answer. We need our mfg base to return to this country. Greedy Unions are the problem. Labor is cheaper out of the US, and the Greedy Unions have effectively caused this.

SHAME ON YOU PROPAGANDIST
Break down of the Occupy Wall Street people.
Traffic on the Occupy Wall Street site averaged about 400,000 visitors a day during the sample week (October 7th), which represents more than 10% of the population. 1619 people completed the survey.
Not surprising, nearly 2/3 of the protesters are under 35. But one in three is over 35 and one in five is over 45.
81.3% of respondents considered themselves White, 1.3% Black\African American, 3.2% Asian,.4% Native American Indian, 2.9% Mixed, 7.7% Hispanic, and 3.2% considered themselves some other group.
Only 7.9% of respondents lack at least some college.
27.4% have some college (but no degree), 35% have a college degree, 8.2% have some graduate school (but no degree), and close to 21.5% have a graduate school degree.
70% of respondents had jobs. 50.4% worked full time. 20.4% worked part time.
Only 13.1% are unemployed.
47.5% of the sample earns less than $24,999 dollars a year and another quarter (24%) earn between $25,000 and $49,999 per year.
71.5% of the sample earns less than $50,000 per year.
15.4% of the sample earned between $50,000 and $74,999.
The remainder 13% of the sample earn over $75,000 with close to 2% earning over $150,000 per year.
27.3% of respondents considered themselves Democrats, another 2.4% said they were Republican.
Interestingly, a very large proportion of the sample, close to 70.3%, considered themselves Independents.
Cordero-Guzman concluded that the 99% looked like the 99%.
The one way they did significantly differ was in gender. 67% were male. 30.9% were female and 2% preferred another gender designation.
92.5% of the respondents either strongly or somewhat agree with the protests. Over 91.8% believe the movement is likely to grow.
SHAME CORPORATE PROPAGANDIST

Sincere, if naive, political neophytes whose disorganized "Occupy" movement is in the process of being co-opted by leftist union thugs, Democrat party operatives and professional anarchists.
Ironically, several of the Tea Party's objections coincide with several of the Occupier's complaints.
Main Stream Media's doing everything to hide or minimize these parallels between the two movements. Gee, I wonder why?
#9 Nov 13, 2011
The media, for the most part, is also trying to hide the chaos and violence that the looney left anarchist morons and union thugs are causing. And "MUCHO, MUCHO" shame on the legitate occupiers (the so called 99 percenters) that are not doing anything what so ever to dis-associate themselves from the anarchists and stop the takeover of their "original" protest. It's as if they condon the left wing chaos and violence.
If the media were assessing/writing about Tea Party protesters they would be trashing "all" Tea Partiers in any way they could concieve as racist violent homophobe ignorant illiterate old white thugs.
The media is intentionally doing their best to make the occupiers sound wonderful. It's simply hilarious, better than watching SNL.

The above poster is a paid for propagandist working for an advertising Corporation. He wants you to have hate in your heart and is only trying to confuse the good people of America. Don't give yourself to this unnatural man. He wants to use you and tell you what to think.
The people are waking up to how America is ran by a Corporatocracy. Going to the voting booth every couple years to pick which Corporate puppet we want to lead America is not going to cut it anymore.
Occupy is to get money out of politics. And stop allowing mega Corporations to control America's democracy.
Is this to hard of an idea for your dumb ass to understand?
POWER TO THE PEOPLE

This is one way to express frustration with the current economic situation!

They (the occupy folks) are anarchists and loafers who want a free ride at the expense of the working people. They are the real 1%
