I feel that is the opening salvo in a class war started by Obama, with his 'support' of the WSP's, he is doing his best to start a poor vs. the rich war which the poor will lose and big.

The 99% must stand in opposition to greed and wanton power. Money for educaiton and health care, not wars.

Those people who have nothing to do but protest, too lazy to get a job or not willing to do manual labor, live off welfare and so on. These are the same beginnings as were seen before the Russian revolution that led to communism. Share the wealth may sound good, everyone equal may sound good but it stops creativity and growth, it leads to everyone being poor except for those in government power. If you don't like the bank's don't use them, If you don't like the fee's don't use credit/debit cards. The nice thing about our current system is you have the freedom to choose!

Get your ass out and work for what you want and need, this entitlement crap and expecting the hard working taxpayers is getting old. Get off your lazy ass and work for what you want instead of expecting someone to always hand you something "free". Work for it you dumbasses and you'll appreciate it more and take better care of it.

Break down of the Occupy Wall Street people.

Traffic on the Occupy Wall Street site averaged about 400,000 visitors a day during the sample week (October 7th), which represents more than 10% of the population. 1619 people completed the survey.

Age

Not surprising, nearly 2/3 of the protesters are under 35. But one in three is over 35 and one in five is over 45.

Racial/Ethnic background

81.3% of respondents considered themselves White, 1.3% Black\African American, 3.2% Asian,.4% Native American Indian, 2.9% Mixed, 7.7% Hispanic, and 3.2% considered themselves some other group.

Education

Only 7.9% of respondents lack at least some college.

27.4% have some college (but no degree), 35% have a college degree, 8.2% have some graduate school (but no degree), and close to 21.5% have a graduate school degree.

Employment Status

70% of respondents had jobs. 50.4% worked full time. 20.4% worked part time.

Only 13.1% are unemployed.

Income

47.5% of the sample earns less than $24,999 dollars a year and another quarter (24%) earn between $25,000 and $49,999 per year.

71.5% of the sample earns less than $50,000 per year.

15.4% of the sample earned between $50,000 and $74,999.

The remainder 13% of the sample earn over $75,000 with close to 2% earning over $150,000 per year.

Politics

27.3% of respondents considered themselves Democrats, another 2.4% said they were Republican.

Interestingly, a very large proportion of the sample, close to 70.3%, considered themselves Independents.

Cordero-Guzman concluded that the 99% looked like the 99%.

The one way they did significantly differ was in gender. 67% were male. 30.9% were female and 2% preferred another gender designation.

92.5% of the respondents either strongly or somewhat agree with the protests. Over 91.8% believe the movement is likely to grow.

Stats don't mean a fucking thing. There are jobs to be had. Yes the economy is bad and everyone is hurting, if you need the money bad enough, go work at Burger King, McDonalds, etc. You're not going to get a cushy job behind that damn mahogony desk with the Italian leather chair anymore in this economy with brother Barry Obama being the lead dog.

There's jobs to be had, just none that you or your liberal friends want to accept. Quit whinning, expecting government payouts and get out and start a new career from the bottom up like the rest of us.

Stop bitching and start doing something to improve your lives instead of leaching off of me and other hard working people who have had to make career changes and endure the same hardships that you're supposedly in yourself.

Go look in the damn mirror and stare really hard... that's the only one that's going to be able to save your ass in the end. The government may be able to do it for a short while, but in the end, it's up to you to make the best of what you've got and what you'll become.

You want reality? Here's a breakdown for you... Under the Obama regime, the economy has taken a first class seat on the fastest Chinese bullet train headed straight to hell in a hand basket via overnight express from UPS or FedEx.
His (Obama's) policies had the United States credit rating downgraded by Standard and Poors credit agency from an AAA+ for the first time in 70 fucking years.
Don't even try blaming Bush for that, as that looser (Obama) has been in office for almost 3 years now... he owns it whether he likes it, or not.
His "stimulus" package didn't and has not stimulated a fucking thing worth mentioning, otherwise the damn economy would be booming as he predicted, praised, and shouted from damn every teleprompter he could read from on various stages and fundraisers across the nation.
Those green jobs Barry touted, they’re a damn joke and the majority of them are either bankrupt, going bankrupt as we speak, or looking for someone to bail their asses out of dire straits and over take them and turn them (the company) into something profitable before they lose every penny that they have, not to mention their dignity.
They're already predicting that Obama is going to go down in history with a presidency that makes Jimmy Carter look half way decent... Way to go Barry (Obama), if you're going to be the best at something, at least you're making your mark in American history as sucking worse than Jimmy Carter did... Congratulations Barry!

It appears that Mayor Bloomburg (New York city) and it's citizenry has enforced the law by telling these boneheads that they have the right to peacefully protest, but camping out in tents, taxing (placing a burden) upon the law obeying business owners, documented rape incidents, and shitting on top of law enforcement vehicles was no longer going to be tolerated... Praise God!

Typical behavior of the liberal crowd who wants, and expects everything to be shared among us, and for us to be equal... except when that one famous incident of a protester got mad because his Apple laptop got stolen... Hmm, isn't that why he is there? So everyone has the same opportunities and accessories as he does. LOL. As soon as his shit gets stolen,(apparently someone wanted what he had worked for), he started screaming foul. Can you say double standard?

Those dumb bastards need to get a grip on life and realize that nothing in life is free. A couple of old sayings come to mind.

1). You reap what you sow.

2). Work hard and you’ll be rewarded for your efforts.

3). Don’t rely on others to support you when you’re not willing to put forth any effort.

Basic logic states that if you (I) work for something, I damn sure don’t want some deadbeat who doesn’t want to work for what he/she wants, or needs shouting from the rooftops that he/she deserves what I’ve worked my ass off for and paid for by laboring at a job to pay for it.
