Indeed....it is time. This grass roots movement I have watched grow over the last few months. I am in. I have moved my money from B of A and am now seeking credit unions to refinance my two homes. I just have one question....who can I contact in Kelseyville, CA for meetings? I am a nurse in the CNA and would like to set up a first aid table with the occupy dates.

If you are concerned about your childrenand grandchildren, I suggest that you set your mind to occupying the whitehouse lawn.
It is there that you will find relief(if there is any to be had).
Trillions have been borrowed and spent by the current administration and none of us regular folks seem to have benefited from any of the spending spree.
Blaming the banks and wall street makes no sense. The government sets the rules and controls regulation. Blame them.
You may begin by asking why Bubba Clinton repealed the Glass Steagall Act( instituted 1930), and then required banks to provide loans to folks who could never, ever pay them back(Community reinvestment Act...Clinton).

Our president is encouraging class warfare when in fact, he is in bed with the upper class.
directing your ire toward his adminstration would be far more effective, and, in the best interests of your children and grandchildren.

These people are misguided. They should be protesting Barack Obama, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. They are responsible for this depression and please do not call it a "recession" when the actual unemployment rate is 23%, not 9%

The banks actually have very little to do with it. The problems have come largely from forcing banks to lend to people who could not afford to make the mortgage payments on the theory they could refinance every year and get enough cash to make the payments. Sorry, that only works so long...

Over 30,000 People Rally in New York City (NYPD estimated 32,500), including organized contingents of workers, students, and other members of “the 99%”

"Our political system should serve all of us — not just the very rich and powerful. Right now Wall Street owns Washington," said participants . "We are the 99% and we are here to reclaim our democracy."

I agree, Huh. I believe we need to reinstate the Glass Steagall Act!
I also believe that we should occupy Sacramento (state capitol) and the White house would be brilliant. I firmly believe we need to eliminate Congress. That would be no easy task. It needs to be done, however. What about the Christian Coalition migrating in? It has been done before.

.......and nObama has reversed what part of that list?
bush has been out of office for more than three years......the only thing that has changed is that the bad news has gotten worse.
if bush was evil, then nObama is either evil or incompetent.
Which one is it?

absolutely. we need education out there for us 99%. we need to make the 1% aware that we no longer want to be sheep led into economic destruction and are willing to stand up and show it. ultimately we are in desperate need of regulations and this takes major change all the way up and over congress.

Hey HUH/Lucerne far right wing nut! Before you blame only a Democrat for something..........

The bill that ultimately "repealed" the Act was brought up in the Senate by Phil Gramm (R-Texas) and in the House of Representatives by Jim Leach (R-Iowa) in 1999. The bills were passed by a Republican majority, basically following party lines by a 54–44 vote in the Senate[15] and by a bi-partisan 343–86 vote in the House of Representatives.[16] After passing both the Senate and House the bill was moved to a conference committee to work out the differences between the Senate and House versions. The final bill resolving the differences was passed in the Senate 90–8 (one not voting) and in the House: 362–57 (15 not voting). The legislation was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on November 12, 1999.[17]
