Because big biz needs MORE tax breaks, and poor people need less food, and be swept under the carpet where hopefully they get arrested before they breed.
how long do we have to support big biz. no one supports little guys trying to not be poor.
So are you saying we should penalize the successful and cater to the losers? Really?

Just the filthy rich who think they are above paying taxes, like the working "POOR" are the only ones who have to! Your favorite store walmart is one of the most guilty of this method too! Educate yourself before you speak hillbilly!

To those at the occupy Alpena protest, why the hell should those of who have worked all of lives; pay for those who don't.

My wife and myself both work full times jobs here in Alpena, both of us have started at the bottom and worked our way up the ladder. We have 4 children, 3 at home and 1 in college. We own our own home and support local business as much as possible.

We also pay taxes every year and it grinds the hell out of me that you think I owe you something.

Try getting a job and supporting yourself, I am sick and tired of all the welfare, social aid, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and bums walking the streets of Alpena.

I have never taken a penny of unemployment, welfare, foodstamp s or anything, but my income and properity taxes go towards this stuff every year.

workforaliving does not understand Occupy. Wait until the college billscome in and the health care bill he cannot pay, and he pays taxes but General Electric does not. Does workforaliving like paying taxes to help big oil and GE, but if it comes to hungry people forget it.

Workforaliving is just another uneducated hillbilly on this subject! Ultimate has a grasp on the subject and obviously does not watch fox news. Big oil and GE is just the tip of the problem though.

I have lived in Alpena and I am 50 years old. I seen Fletchet paper close up, where was bail out then? how about thunder bay? no bail out then either. Besser Co, lots of unemployed butany politition helping? These are my friends, family, co workers, school mates, neighbors. THESE are NOT LOSERS.
I work full time, but i am forced to cut back on things we enjoyed having one year ago. cut charter, cut traveling vacations. oh well.

A masked man called me stupid today on Chisholm and 2nd, when i asked him who was the poor? The people working and getting behind in bills or capable non mentally challenged people who refuse to work because they want the government to give them wealth?

Lets see, if we quit going to Walmart of Kmart, where do we go? Neimans and Perches and Save a lot where the workers get paid Minimun wage ? or any stores in mall or downtown for clothes that are way over priced? Hmmm choices. And if Meirs or Target comes one big store clothes because alpena area can not support another minimun wage store. Someone asked this today at Chisholm and 2nd and was attact too.

Tell me this, why do some of the 'people' at the occupy at the fountain need to don face masks? Tells me they are embarassed as to what they are doing and do not want anyone to know....I'd be willing to bet they all got food baskets from the Vietnam Vets for their Thanksgiving meal! I am going to enjoy my time with my hard working wife who actually gets to take a day off to celebrate.(its rare we get a holiday together)
