The economy would've rebounded eventually, but it's likely that some steps the Obama administration took - like the auto bailout - helped prevent things getting a lot worse.

You do of course realize that $25 billion dollars was approved by congress in September 2008, and that the $700 billion dollar tarp program was passed by congress in October 2008. Obama was not sworn in until January 2009. but he was always quick to take credit and blame Bush. How quickly we forget history.

Sorry, meant to include that the $25 billion passed under Bush was for the auto bailout of GM and Chrysler.

He is delaying the inevitable. Meanwhile the downhill snowball grows in size and speed.

This is quite possible that what he did possibly prevented things from getting worse.....This is still open whether he actually did so or not, IMO....Please give me more info about your new site......Thx in advance....

This is my concern but it remains to be seen. I am worried that we will have a very hard time paying the bills for today and that could cause another big issue for our next president in 2013.

This could be very well true..and IMO could result in widespread financial chaos for the nation as we flounder further in debt.....

I have seen with my own eyes how much the auto industry picked up with the "clunker for cash" program and others.

What I have not see is the pain of paying for those programs yet.
