Let's see, when he took office the price of gas was $1.84, now it's around $3.47, heading to $4 and maybe even $5. Just last month over a million people gave up looking for work because they've been out of work for so long. Housing is still going down and not expected to turn around until the end of this year. As with most liberals he doesn't understand basic economics, doesn't really care about building the economy and sees success as expanding governments role in as many areas as possible. His goal is to use the Chicago/California economic models throughout the US, regardless of the cost to us, our kids or our grandkids.

Exactly what did Bush "screw up" that wasn't either started by the Dems like the CRA which led to the housing mess, or supported by Dem's like Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Franks, et al, such as the military actions overseas and the Freddie fiasco?

Understand that I'm not saying Bush was great and Obama is a mess. I'm saying that during the Bush administration both sides made a mess and now Obama has taken all the bad stuff Bush did and made it even worse.

So exactly what did Bush do that was only supported by the R's and didn't have any D support? Show me the budget that the D's presented when they controlled both the House and Senate that eliminated all the bad stuff that Bush did.

Sorry, we gave Bush 8 years to fix things and Obama approved of everything he did. President Obama was sworn in as a senator on January 3, 2005 and has approved EVERYTHING that has happened since then. He's now had six years, going on seven to change things. Just WTF do you think, given his record since 2005 he is going to do to make things beter?

Silly and mendacious question. THE issue is what COULD Bush-baby have done , but did not. Shut-down speculative trading by retail Gub'mnt insured banks comes to mind as a $60-T special case.

RepubliFat neocons REFUSE to deal with that issue like they ognore the $160-B Ron-da-Bom Regan gifted the Savings & Loan shysters. Should a' been impeached, indicted, tried convicted and shot for that....

Bush could have done a lot mor but he didn't. Since you are arguing against me you must believe he did all he could. Give examples or go away.

You are a teacher which means you get more income from the government than from your students. Elucidate how your teaching situation would be better if your school received NO Federal funds or go away.

The question was about whether Obama has helped the economy. Since you are arguing with me you are an Obama supporter. Either give 3 specific things that Obama has done to help the economy or go away.

Has no practical business experience, and neither does any person of power on his staff. It's hard to know techniques of creating real jobs, if you've never held one.

Very true. Obama.nation has spent his life hating-on productive people and financing parasites.

Had he spent his early years passing out paperback copies of Euclids ELEMENTS and six-paks of condoms he would have done more good.

It's simple. Go look at everything he campaigned on vs. what has happened. Sure, politics can get in the way, but even his rhetoric doesn't live up to the type of leadership he touted while campaigning in 2008.

We are doomed. We've allowed ourselves to be divided and thus conquered. Too foolish to realize all of us on both sides, are nothing more than pawns for the politicians. We wage class warfare on fellow Americans, we judge our neighbors. America the great experiment is present for one last curtain call.

I think you mean President Bush's hands were tied by the democratic house and senate. But, under his administration the bubble that was began under Clinton finally burst. GWB is on record saying that it was unsustainable. Of course dems only attacked and claimed he was "out for the rich." He knew that passing out billions in subprime mortgages was not going to work. But he let it continue instead of doing what he knew was right.
Every single problem with this economy can be traced right back to the radical left. Even sound-minded democrats knew what would happen. But, the liberal extremists are a bullying, scare-tactic using, corrupt beyond measure machine that is taking over the country.

Here's something to think about when talking about Obamacare. An article about a 22 yr old Swede that was denied an ambulance because the "health advisory board" didn't think she needed it. She called three times, to only be denied all three times. She ended up dying.

I've always said Obamacare might, and I stress, might be good for routine health care. But as soon as something is beyond regular, we are going to be screwed. When I researched Swede health care, I found a paper written comparing Swedish and USA health care. The author concluded that we would benefit from their health care system.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to be turned down for an ambulance should the need arise. And I surely don't want to die because some bureaucrat feels I don't warrant an ambulance.
