doesn't take a genius to see things are worse
Right. In fact, it takes an imbecile to think things are worse. |
Why are you calling local sam an imbecile? He never said one word to you, yet you attack him for giving his opinion on a question. I thought you said you never call people names unless they call you a name? Looks like you lied AGAIN! You really need to get a life. I've seen plenty of angry losers in my day, you take the cake! Take notice to the map...looks like more than half the country thinks Obama has made things worse. Are you going to start with childish name calling at me now? |
If that's the case then more than half the country is wrong. This isn't a matter of opinion. When Obama took office, the economy was shrinking. Now it’s growing. In what way is that “worse”? When Obama took office, the economy was hemorrhaging jobs. Now it’s gaining jobs. In what way is that “worse”? By nearly every economic measure the nation is doing better now than when Obama took office. This is objective, empirical fact. |
And for the record - there's no reason to show deference to someone who has attacked me in the past but is using a different name today. |
Project much? Dan the man, realDave, bobby64, for starters. |

Look around you and the state of the economy. It doesn't take a rocket Scientist to see.

29 months of job growth with no help from a Republican controlled obstructionist congress, the man truly is the messiah!

His socialist healthcare program, attack on the coal industry and his support of John murpha... These Guys building highways to nowhere..
With our money and we'r the ones left holding the bag... So keep working... |
The ACA is not socialistic. Obama has always supported clean coal technology. Who's John Murpha? |

unemployment has gone up to 8.3%. Obama said the stimulous would keep it from going over 8%. The housing market is just about non existent, businesses are closing, the national debt is OUT OF SIGHT, we lost our triple A credit rating under Obama, the negative list goes on and on. It amazes me that there is a very small number of people that think everything is great and if you give your opinion that differs from theirs, you are called names. That's childish and immature. Sounds like someone has a problem with the truth.
I believeObama said it himself......if this economy isn't back on track in 3 years, I'm a one term proposition, well it has been almost 4 years and it is actually worse. Something I noticed in 2008 was the many Obama bumper stickers on cars, they were everywhere. You don't that today and I believe that is very telling of how the country feels and I believe Obama will lose the election. Obama is spending more money then he is taking in. Romney is taking in more then Obama, again very telling of the mood of what's ahead on Nov. 6. Now have I offended anyone with my opinion and will I be called names like I'm still back in grade school? |
gee thats easy. Its worse, anyone can see that except someone thats brain dead.
i like this dan the man's play on words, obama has always supported "clean coal technology." thats funny because everyone knows obama wants to shut the coal business down,is dan the man one of the brain dead? Must be.

"Everybody knows"? Really? Maybe somebody should tell the President. ---------- BLUEPRINT FOR A SECURE ENERGY FUTURE INNOVATE OUR WAY TO A CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE Harness America’s Clean Energy Potential Supporting the Development and Deployment of Clean Coal Technologies: The United States has enormous coal reserves, and the Administration is committed to developing clean coal technologies that will enable us to continue to use this abundant energy source. With $3.4 billion in Recovery Act funding, the Administration is making an unprecedented investment in the development of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. In addition, the Administration convened an Interagency Task Force on Carbon Capture and Storage to identify ways to overcome barriers to widespread, cost-effective deployment of CCS within 10 years. Spurring Innovation through Investments in Clean Energy Research and Development: Through the Recovery Act, the Administration has invested in thousands of projects across the country targeted at the demonstration of clean energy projects in every state. We invested over $4 billion to modernize the electricity grid,$2 billion in advanced battery manufacturing,$1 billion in research of new energy technologies for renewable energy and energy efficiency,$800 million in advanced biofuels projects, and over $3 billion in clean coal projects. Each of these projects has created jobs and saved energy or added new energy to the economy, all while propelling US innovation in energy technology. http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files... ---------- Is this like "everybody knows Obama wants to ban guns" even though he's never said anything like that and has actually expanded gun rights as President? You're believing a rightwing myth - not what the President has actually said or done. |

Are you Crazy?? Take a look into coal stocks. Which is the leading indication on how companies are doing? That may be what he is saying but it is not what he is doing! EPA regulations that have taken affect over the last year are literally destroying the coal industry. Look at the layoffs from some of the top 3 coal companies.(ANR, BTU, ACI) Either has been hit badly or is going to get crushed soon. Natural gas normally doesn’t impact coal stocks but coal companies are speaking a different tune. China doesn’t have a problem mining for coal or natural gas but with the most recent restrictions we will be importing coal from other nations. Ya know you shouldn’t just accept what this current administration is saying you really should do just a tiny bit of investigation before falling into line with any politician or their plan. This is definitely going to impact every American because soon we will be buying coal to run those power plants instead of drilling for our own and there’s no shortage of coal in this country. |
America is currently exporting more coal than it ever has, and it is on an upward trend. US coal improrts have declined to the lowest rate in history, and it's on a downward trend. Coal production is declining for a variety of reasons, but primarily because of historically cheap natural gas from shale fracking. Mine safety negligence within the coal industry has also impacted production. These factors are unrelated to the President or his agenda. Blaming him for them is just dishonest. Coal is a dirty, polluting energy source. Given the devastating impact of global warming that we're already seeing, it would be outrageously irresponsible to not try to reduce coal pollution. EPA measures are reasonable and, in the long term, cost effective for the nation as a whole. How much money will the US lose this year in agriculture losses and resulting price increases alone? How much has the US spent on natural disaster recovery? Money spend now to make coal as clean as possible is an investment in our future - money we hopefully won't have to spend/lose from global warming. The fact of the matter is that coal is undergoing a natural shift. It's not the result of a President trying to kill the industry. It's the result of the nation recognizing that old, dirty methods of energy production aren't sustainable and making reasonable adaptations for our own best interests. Maybe you should do a tiny bit of thinking before you fall in line with coal industry fearmongering. |
