Gay Marriage is a Human Rights Issue. I'm sure if Christianity was suddenly outlawed you would all be fighting for it as hard as LGBT people are.

It's a Civil rights issue, and in time it will be made legal no matter who wants to cry about it.

Gay marriage threatens no one. It's about time we had a leader to stand up and take on the issue. It's easy to be on the side of hatred and quote some archaic text to justify your position, but it's not right. Everyone deserves equal treatment. People in this podunk-hell shouldn't be ostracized, or made to feel uncomfortable just because their personal choices differ from that of the slack-jawed mongoloids who tend to rule in a mass of stupidity.

Civil rights as a "protected group." Homosexual want to include themselves alongside protected groups based upon race, gender, religion, or handicap. However, what right do homosexuals have to claim this special status. The courts have used three basic criteria to determine if a group deserves protection.(See Supreme Courts cases including San Antonio Independent School District v. Rodrigue, Massachusetts Board of Retirement v. Murgia, Plyler v. Doe, etc.) First, the group must have a history of discrimination with a lack of ability to achieve economic mean income, adequate education, or cultural opportunity. If you apply this things to the homosexual community, you will find that they do not measure up.

The average annual income of a homosexual is $55,430 compared to $32,144 in the general population and $12,166 in the African American community.
(Statistical Abstract of the United States) As for educational opportunity, three times as many homosexuals are college graduates as the general population.

RUPUBIICANS use religion like a propolatic;protection from the truth. They,ve never cared about true morallity, just putting on a show for the Zealots! When CHRIST fed the masses, healed the sick, raised the dead, he required nothing in return. Some of the same people he gave these gifts of love to spit on him & cursed him on to the way to the cross.Nowhere in CHRISTS ministry does even mention homosexuality! If it wasn't important enough for CHRIST to preach a sermon on,there's no way I'm going to tell two people they can't love each other!True Christain love means CHAIRITY without requirement.None of us is worthy of the chairity we receive from GOD,so no one should be required to be worthy of the love & chairity they receive from others;that is if we truely give in a CHRISTLIKE manner!Would CHRIST vote Against taking away foodstamps, medicare, upping the minimum wage, free school lunches, meals on wheels for the eldery;in order to give tax breaks to the wealthy& subtidise the oil companies who are already making record profits :I DON'T THINK SO!!!! There are more important thing to worry about than Gay Marriage,Abortion,& A Few Latinos running around!!!!

We are a God-fearing country, we are all raised to be responsible Chistians. One nation, under God. And in fact, the majority of people in this country do not like the gays because we know that they are blatantly living an immoral lifestyle. Even the people who are not Christian know that homosexuality is wrong, with the exception of france you can go to almost any other country on the planet and you will see that, Christian or not, they do not promote the gay lifestyle the way America is promoting it.

The majority of Americans do not want same sex marriage and yet the gays keep bringing it up time and time again because they want to shove it in the face of you, your family, your children. They are a bunch of pervs is what they are. You cannot turn on a television anymore because every tv show has gays and blacks in it as the hero.

The only time gay marriage has been legalized in America is when a liberal activist judge, a liberal activist governor, or a liberal activist state legislature has intervened on this issue to circumvent what the public wants. The fact of the matter is that every time you put minority "rights" to a majority vote, the minority always loses and we always win. Yay for us! Which is why every time gay issues come up at the ballot box, Americans always overwhelmingly decide against them.

Now I am not really worried nor surprised that Obama is for the gays. He is black, he is a liberal. You get what you paid for. And the fact that a president announces he is pro-gay doesn't mean much, especially with this guy because he is a talker, not a doer. What we really ought to be worried about is that the gays are gradually chipping away at the majority, and they are gradually, almost imperceptibly, affecting peoples' ability to judge the difference between right and wrong. They have done this by desensititizing children and young people. That is why it is especially important that you need to inflict strict discipline on your kids and keep them close to the vest. Don't let the gays take control over your children because they gays will indoctrinate them and turn them into little liberal robots. America will always remain anti-gay and pro traditional family so long as we maintain the moral majority.

I think that the president supporting the rights of gays is wonderful. He is my president not my priest. That is his personal opinion and he is entitled to have one. If we are to seperate the state from the church, then the christians should have an opinion, because they are entitled to it, but should stop forcing their opinion down other people's throat. Where I don't condon gays, I don't stand in judgement of them either. That is not for me to do. They have to make their own heaven or hell. It is their choice and everyone is entitiled to their choices.

Personally I don't think this issue will be the one that breaks Obama because his stance is primarily going to upset those people who wouldn't have voted for him anyway. He's not going to be losing anyone, and Romney isn't going to be picking up anyone for reasons I discuss below. It took Obama 4 years to figure out where he stands on same sex marriage probably because he is worried about losing single-issue voters. Retirees, for example, generally vote based on one issue (medicare, 2nd amendment rights, abortion, etc.) because old people don't have to worry about getting up and going to work in the morning. They don't have to worry about the cost of gasoline. Those people might have been the ones to decide elections in the past, but not this time. Obama has cratered the economy. People who work for a living and are upset about jobs, the economy, and their future, they have more important, substantive issues to be worried about than gay marriage. Are people going to take a day off from work, lose a day's worth of pay, and go wait in long lines at a polling station to vote against Obama just because he supports gays? Well, for one thing, he hasn't pushed any gay legislation and he probably won't anyway if he is re-elected. He's just pandering to the gays for their vote and their money, he has no intention of doing anything for them. Maybe people will see past the lies.

Right now it looks like the biggest problem on our hands is the fact that Republicans are not very excited about Romney, and that means that people who have traditionally voted Republican are probably going to stay at home. Gay marriage isn't an issue which is going to get people fired up about Romney because the guy is a liberal in sheep's clothing. Romney was pro-choice, he was pro-gay, he gave us Romney care, the list goes on and on. Nobody trusts him. One good thing is that he is a "successful business guy", so he could be marketed to people as somebody who might be able to turn the economy around.

One big thing that we can look forward to is in a few months when the 5 to 4 conservative Supreme Court issues a judgment on Obamacare straight down party lines. Whoo hoo, Obama will get his ass handed to him, and a defeat of his "greatest" accomplishment will set the Romney camp on fire. The Obama reelection campaign might as well turn off the lights and close the doors, it will be over.

Let's see who we can find who preached how morality would save this country but refused to live it.

Republican Mayor Philip Giordano is serving a 37-year sentence in federal prison for sexually abusing 8- and 10-year old girls.
Republican legislator Edison Misla Aldarondo was sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping his daughter between the ages of 9 and 17.

Republican racist pedophile and United States Senator Strom Thurmond had sex with a 15-year old black girl which produced a child.

Republican pastor Mike Hintz, whom George W. Bush commended during the 2004 presidential campaign, surrendered to police after admitting to a sexual affair with a female juvenile.

Republican advertising consultant Carey Lee Cramer was charged with molesting his 9-year old step-daughter after including her in an anti-Gore television commercial.

Republican Congressman Donald "Buz" Lukens was found guilty of having sex with a female minor and sentenced to one month in jail.

Republican activist and Christian Coalition leader Beverly Russell admitted to an incestuous relationship with his step daughter.

Republican anti-gay activist Earl "Butch" Kimmerling was sentenced to 40 years in prison for molesting an 8-year old girl after he attempted to stop a gay couple from adopting her.

Republican Congressman Bob Livingston was about to vote for impeaching President Clinton for sexual improprieties until it was disclosed he was an adulterer.

Republican Congressman Henry Hyde denounced President Clinton's extramarital affair, but was later found to be an adulterer himself.

Republican benefactor of conservative Christian groups, Richard A. Dasen Sr., was found guilty of raping a 15-year old girl. Dasen, 62, who is married with grown children and several grandchildren, has told police that over the past decade he paid more than $1 million to have sex with a large number of young women.

Republican Jeff Miller, Senate Republican Caucus Chairman in Tennessee and the sponsor of Tennessee's Marriage Protection act, getting divorced (as of April 2005) because of an affair he was having with an office aid. Miller described the Tennessee Marriage Protection Act as a means of preserving the sanctity of marriage. He opposed an amendment, however, which stated that "Adultery is deemed to be a threat to the institution of marriage and contrary to public policy in Tennessee."

Republican Sue Myrick, Congresswoman, describes herself as a "devout Christian." Committed adultery with a married man.

Republican Bob Packwood, Senator, resigned in 1995 under a threat of public senate hearings related to 10 female ex-staffers accusing him of sexual harassment.

Republican John Peterson, Congressman, accused of sexual harassment and creation of a hostile work environment by six women. Peterson has refused to admit a crime, saying only "I may have been an excessive hugger."

Republican George Roche III, carried on a 19 year affair with his son's wife, while serving as president of Hillsdale College, which "emphasizes the importance of the common moral truths that bind all Americans, while recognizing the importance of religion for the maintenance of a free society."

Republican Lobbyist Craig J. Spence, organized orgies with child prostitutes in the White House during the 1980s.

Republican Bob Barr, Congressman from Georgia. Sponsored the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act, saying "The flames of hedonism, the flames of narcissism, the flames of self-centered morality are licking at the very foundation of our society, the family unit." Was married three times. Paid for his second wife's abortion. Failed to pay child support to the children of his first two wives and while married to his third and present wife was photographed licking whipped cream off of strippers at his inaugural party.

Republication Newt Gingrich, Congressman from Georgia. Was so devoted to keeping the sanctity of marriage that he cheated on two of his three wives while they were sick.

Republican Joe Walsh, Congressmen from Illinois has repeatedly refused to pay $117,000 in child support for his own children.

Don't blame your heaping pile of broken stright marriages on gays wanting to marry. Just because Heterosexuals didn't think enough of the vows they made before God doesn't mean gays or working women are to blame. If you want indoctrination of children by all means sit them in front of the boob tube where kids can watch the Bachelor, Marry A Millionaire, The Kardashians or 5 other idiotic programs where bimbos search for Sugar Daddies and marry for fame, implants and money.

How happy God must be with the heterosexuals who have set themsleves up above everyone else. Look at all the abandoned, abused grandchildren he has given them to care for in their old age. Meanwhile their precious 2 connected 2 B Arrested, straight drug addicted little darlings are selling, stealing and sucking on anything that doesn't run away, for fix. Why even the local law enforcement officers and lawyers are in on praising the lord with their pants down. Spare me your morality sermon. If 1/10th of Hawkins County was moral and incorruptible it wouldn't be the pathetic mess it is.
Obama is getting more support now since he came out for gay marriage than before, I wouldn't bury him just yet.

Well that sure was an interesting compilation, AOL user. One question, though. What are you, in kindergarten or something? Is this how you are trying to win your argument, with a list of names? Wow.

Homosexuality is not a Republican or a Democrat issue, it is a right and a wrong issue, period. You can vote democrat, we can have disagreements about taxation and gov spending, that is fine. But promoting the gay agenda, that says more than enough what kind of person you are. And let me point out the fact that just because a heterosexual has done wrong in the past does mean that homosexuality is right.

On the topic of men having sex with dead wives, Master Chowder said this about said link >

Master Chowder: "Here we go again, just another example of ridiculous government intrusion into peoples' private lives. If a husband wants to have sex with his wife, what business is that of government? Only in a country dominated by barbarism and sharia law do they pass laws telling you what you can and can't do in your own bedroom. More middle eastern arab ridiculousness. They are two consenting adults, they should be allowed to do what they please without these muslims coming in and telling them something else."

So Master Chowder approves of necrophilia, abuse of a corpse but not gay marriage. Yes, I think I know what kind of man you are Master Chowder. You are a fake, a hypocrite.

He will whether people tend to believe it or not, it still don't change the fact that he will do it.Also what was wrong
years ago is still wrong today. God has not changed, only people has.
