Aren't Three Mile Island Cernybl and Japan enough. You are already putting up these gut wrenching (vibrations will w your guts) Windmills. The real question should be when is the government going to develope and deliver Solar cells. All the rest are corporations preserving their control on your power/comfort.
I believe its because solar energy technology is limited and needs more research to advance it. It takes so many sq ft of solar panels to generate a limited amout of power, providing the weather is in favorable in conditions.

So what it boils down to is that when something is gained something is lossed. If we want solar power, it will cut into food production in crop field which will then lead to the rise in prices of food to compensate for the results of loss profits in the electric company. And that is IF they invest in food production stocks.

as far as coal goes it has its waste yes but do any of you understand what kind of life that brings to small town people who otherwise would be so poor they lose everything and live in what you would call a shack but they would call home. Coal puts food on the table, clothes on the backs of children, power for lights and a place to make a warm meal... Until you personally live here or have had nothing for your familly but you've been given coal mining... they have come along way for burning clean coal technology and yes folks die and yes they get hurt and some lose a body part but what you don't understand is I and mahy like me will die and give up body parts for our famalies don't go without... so go pro coal!!!!

I do agree with you on that to an extent. The only problem is that coal (like all natural resources) are limited.

Solar cells really hate getting hailed on. Otherwise they come close to competing cost wise if you can buy panels from somebody that lost their ass like T Boone did with windmills.
.
There was no problem with the nuke plant in Japan except for getting water to it post earthquake. The earthquake didn't affect structure in any way.
.
Nuke plants can deliver KWh to manufacturing for 4.5 cents per. Windmills are over 20 cents per and will be the reason the Southeast United States CONTINUES TO EAT THE RUST BELTS LUNCH IN ATTRACTING NEW MANUFACTURING.
.
New nuke plants coming to the Savannah River Basin.

Back in the 60s you dumb F tree huggers pitched such damn fit over nuke plants the country decided go with coal power plants. Now you're Hell Bent on getting rid of coal, and replace with what???? Unicorn farts?
.
France, as much use as I don't have for them, went with nuke plants, like we should've done. They have no coal power. Name one accident they've ever had.
.
You idiots act like your all holier than thou when it comes to spending other peoples money on dumbass stuff. Why don't you use your own money and build some dumbass stuff.
.
You may have never heard the sayin: money talks and bullshitt walks.
