We are not knowledgable enough on how to build Nuclear Plants that are safe. Japan, 3 Mile Island and Chernobyl has taught us we are not ready.

Nuclear power is dangerous, expensive and any natural or man made catastrophe could lead to another Fukushima and Chernobyl. When considering the radioactive isotopes, plutonium, which are ionizing radiation and very dangerous to mammalian tissue, and also the radioactive waste that is made while in operation I just don't see the sanity in building anymore Nuclear Power Plants. Redding, CA would do well with solar!
