yes, I do support more nuclear power plants as long as they are modelled from the US Navy nuclear power plants which currently power approximately 250-300 ships and submarines, and have been for the past 40+ years without incident. I have evidence that "the industry"and or people who profit from the electricity grid (the way it is now without nuclear) have ran a convincing campaign to make people think a nuclear power plant is more dangerous than a steam power plant. The truth is "it is not more dangerous but it is alot cheaper to make electricity and would be cheaper to the consumer ".This means less profit for the industry and owners.

New and improved plants with smaller reactors that take less water to cool. Cheapest energy, 2nd only to Dams, which do not produce near the energy of a nuke.

hey mindless idiot... guess what really 'stanks' up our environment? COAL POWER, which is what a lot of the country runs on.
coal power = higher emissions = increasing levels of global warming = more severe weather conditions like the ones that just wrecked the entire south.
Maybe all the radiation in the atmosphere from Japan had something to do with these severe weather storms. Like the interurption of the earth's magnetic fields.

Master Blaster, The strip mining of uranium, the blasting using (Prell) a fossel fuel, then all the heavy diesel equipnent used in the extraction and transporting radioactive ore = green house gases! Now the enrichment to enhance the radioactivity is nasty and dangerous + not a good choice, not to mention we got no place for the waste. By far not clean or green!

I do not agree with a power plant in Corinth. I think it would be dangerous for anyone living near or around it. Corinth has enough problems without adding a nuclear plant to it.

Maybe I'm just some dumb local but is it just me or do we not need some more jobs in this area? No I am not educate further than high school but I can see that Corinth is in need of more jobs. I wonder how many jobs it would create for the community. I do not claim to know exactly what would happen with a plant here nor do I claim that nothing bad would come of it. Im just saying that a power plant COULD be a shot in the arm for Corinth and its residents. Thats just my two cents on the subject.

I understand that accidents are few in the industry , but when they occur they are devastating at the time of the accident and for many years to come.

these "nuclear power plants" can kill us in a matter of seconds, depending on what radioactive chemicals are present. Other wise if anything goes wrong during operation a fire, strong wind, flooding, anything could happen, natural diaster (japan) for ex. can cause major health problems w you, ur kids, their children and so on do we really want to jeopordize our health bc of radiation for what 20% of power and the main reason, greed?

Tree huggers, kool aid drinkers listen up, we need more sources of energy so we don't rely on foreign oil. have you looked at the pumps lately filled your propane tank up and looked at your electric bill lately. Drill baby Drill, nuke plants solar farms wind mills what ever it takes us to be self efficient. BUY AMERICAN OIL, MURPHY USA sells 100% US oil.

rant and rave, a little rambling here but what the hell.
